I had a shoot with Steve today, and it went excellently. He helped me out with a few poses esp…read more positioning of the arms and turning the body, and we were able to have a good laugh and chat in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere whilst still maintaining a professional setting. We shot in his home studio, I provided two different types of dress and also a shirt for a more casual look. I was able to really practice my posing, and crack out many different poses, which I'm grateful to Steve for, as it was a great opportunity for me. I can't wait to see what the pictures look like, but I'm sure they'll be amazing. He offered to help suggest some poses to me as well, however I took it as an opportunity to practice what I know (with some guidance if my poses looked dodgy, of course). He even gave some more technical information to me on clam shell lighting, how it bounces off of walls, how the way the figure is angled can make all the difference, and much more. Before the big day we went for a pre wedding shoot at his studio where he talked us through the day, what to expect, how things would run, and how best we should organise ourselves and the bridal party. The advice Steve gave us on that day turned out to be utterly invaluable. Never in my life have I been on time for anything, but thanks to Steve and his pep talk not only was I on time I was actually ready early which meant I could take time to relax and enjoy every aspect of the day rather than feeling flustered and rushed.We were so pleased with the way the pictures turned out, they got all the pictures we requested, knew exactly where all the best picture opportunities in the venue where and whilst doing all this, kept everybody (all 120 guests and 1 guide dog) organised, assured and calm. Everybody knew where they were meant to be and when they were meant to be there, which meant all the group shots ran smoothly and efficiently allowing us sufficient time to have plenty of shots of just us together AND a bit of time to socialise too, before the wedding breakfast.Steve and Karen were professional, organised and an integral part of our day.
