Pirate Divers is an amazing dive operator!!…read more This was my first trip to the Cayman Islands. I looked at reviews on Trip Advisor first and they were rated higher than any other diver operator. They accept no more than 6 divers per trip unless you contact the shop for a special charter. Scheduling was easy. Mac (owner) was very quick to respond to my email and we were able to schedule dives for my entire week in Grand Cayman. Lisa and Kat were amazing on the boat. You will feel very comfortable with them. Lisa is a Divemaster, Kat is an Instructor. My first day out, there were two other divers on board. They were doing an Advanced Open Water class. Despite them doing specific tasks, I did not feel like I had to hang right on their heels. After the couple left, my last dive of the day was just with me and the dive master. I am an Assistant Instructor so they accommodated my skill and style as I wished. For several dives, I was the only diver on the boat. VERY NICE!! Overview: 1. They will dive any day they have a booking, regardless of the # of divers. 2. Five or more 2-tank trips is $100 per 2-tanks. 3. If you plan to dive Nitrox, plan to pay an additional $30 per two tank dive 4. Night dives are done via shore dive from various locations on the island 5. They will store your gear for you to have ready on the boat for your next dive 6. They do accept riders ($25) and snorkelers ($55) 7. They have super cool shirts - you will WANT to buy one ($25)! 8. Plan to be spoiled and exposed to awesome diving, regardless of your skill level!! Have fun, divers!

For me BeachShack has to be one of the most peculiar placements for a surf shop I have ever seen - a block of sexy bright yellows and blues on a street of otherwise fairly standard inner city shops. Having said that, it works. The shop fits in, is always busy and yep - I dig it. Anything you could possibly need in the world of surf, beach and water sports can be picked up here. If you're a serious windsurfer looking to completely revamp your kit or just a sun chaser looking for a sexy new bikini - you will receive the same level of expert customer service and value for money. Reef sandals, dry suits, rash vests and so much more - just no Devonshire ice cream.

Peculiar, a surf shop selling all the things any sea-faring, wave-surfer could need. I would think the shop would be more fitting situated near the harbour at least, where there is some water in sight. That said, the shop is always bustling and seems to do very good business. Probably because there is such a vast selection of goods for anybody wanting to hit the beach. It is not an elitist shop only there to serve surf enthusiasts willing to spend over £100 on a dry suit. The shop sells swimwear, goggles, flippers and sun cream. A perfect place to go if you want summer seaside attire, without the pricey cost.
