She was so sweet, attentive, and really took her time throughout the entire process never rushed, which I truly appreciated. She even made me tea and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time, which instantly made the experience feel extra cozy and welcoming. The vibe of the salon was warm and relaxed, just women getting their hair done, chatting, and pampering themselves...and honestly, as they should I would definitely recommend this salon if you're looking for a place that values quality, care, and your overall experience just as much as the final result. A great spot for some well-deserved self-care.

I read the great reviews and thought I should give this place a shot. Jankee wound up doing my hair and it came out absolutely stunning!!!! This year I wanted another new style and went back a few days ago, Jankee did my hair once again and it came out perfect once again! She is the reason I adore this place. First off she ALWAYS listens to what you want and does not hesitate to give you her own advice. She is also not scissor happy which is huge in my book. She tells you exactly how much she is going to take off and sticks with that length. The salon is in a great location as well and is very clean. Personally, I am beyond happy I found this place and I highly recommend it.

Personally I appreciated the time not spent sitting at the salon waiting. Nicole was my stylist and she did a great job. I showed her pictures of what I wanted, and she executed the blow out perfectly. She did a wonderful job of washing my hair, she didn't rush and wasn't haphazardly slopping water all over. I noticed all the women getting their hair blown out and curled looked great, it wasn't just me. We all had different hair textures and lengths. I will definitely be back again!

She belittles you and gets an attitude when the way you want your hair done isn't the way she wants to do it. I tried to express to her very discreetly that I didn't like the way she spoke to me when I was in the chair but I will return for Fefa (the woman who was doing my hair) She then told me not to come back and insinuated it was because of "the price" which I had no issue paying even though they basically robbed me. ($50 for a trim? come on.) Overall, the energy is very catty from the moment you walk in and sometimes the workers talk about each other when the others aren't at work, IN FRONT of clients. Very unprofessional and I wouldn't be surprised to see them go out of business in the future.

Rave Review for Monique at The Hair Den…read more Monique is an absolute gem. She has that rare combination of technical precision, aesthetic instinct, and calm confidence that instantly puts you at ease. She really sees your hair -- the texture, the density, the movement -- and makes choices that elevate everything without ever forcing a look that isn't you. What sets her apart is her attention to detail. She doesn't rush, she doesn't guess, and she doesn't do that performative "trust me" thing you get at so many salons. She explains what she's doing, why she's doing it, and how it will grow out. The result is hair that looks polished, modern, and expensive in the best way. My cut and color have never looked more refined. The tone is spot‑on, the shape is clean and flattering, and the finish is that glossy, effortless quiet‑luxury vibe everyone tries to get but few stylists can actually deliver.

Unfortunately I do not care for the new neighborhood of her salon nor the arrangements in the salon. The atmosphere is horrible. Street vendors walk in to sell stuff to patrons while you are getting hair color. Sometimes male and sometimes female. Local security guards will walk in and interrupt her while she is attending to women patrons. I find it extremely weird and unsafe. And many other patrons have expressed similar sentiments. I am told they have to earn their living so she allows them to walk around bugging her customers. This is unacceptable. Next door smoke shops and bar are not an ideal place for a hair salon to be nestled in. In addition, a male barber shop inside her salon is also a very awkward arrangement. Some women customers have complained about foul language coming out loud and clear while they are getting hair treatment. Many young men visit this location - some are cops as well. Some women have complained these men start following them around. She does not have the sensitivity to understand what a salon environment should look like therefore has not cared to pay much attention to it nor plans to. Wishing her the best as I do not intend to revisit her location, it is not a salon. And hope she starts caring for her patrons' personal space and privacy. Not everyone feels comfortable to have local vendors walk in a women's salon and disrupt them.
