They also have a barber shop in the corner by the professional section - appointment only from what I understand though, but it comes in handy if you need to get it all one-and-done in a single outing. Had a great conversation with the barber there on men's style and fashion. In fact, all of the employees there were super friendly. There's usually a wait when I go, but then again I consider that "spectating time". This isn't your old-time barbershop with a dime store Indian statue waiting to greet you, but it has the same type of chit chat and jibber jabber that I always found entertaining as a boy. I don't have a regular barber that I see, but I haven't walked out looking like I was the survivor of a cat fight, so I guess that makes me a winner If you're a sports fan who can't miss a moment of the game while you furrow the follicles, this is a great place for you. I am a long time (6 years or more) client of Roosters at Providence. But no more. The service has…read morenoticeably degraded, especially in the last couple of years. Here are some examples. The receptionists are less professional. Rushed. No eye contact. There is no longer an offer of drinks of any kind while you wait. The music is no longer classic rock or even contemporary rock. It's mostly a combination of loud pop and hip hop. Since the clientele is noticeably 45+ or older this is not appealing. The quality of the stylists is also much reduced. I've tried several of them and the results vary widely. But none are as good as a few years ago. I used to see the owner in the shop, who served to be on top of things. No more. Maybe they've sold the business? The experience is not very good, overall, and definitely not worth the premium cost.

Two stars because it's my own damn fault for coming back…read more I asked for a ducktail. Specifically I wanted my long ducktail beard trimmed about an inch into a medium ducktail that no longer hung past my undershirt collar. I should have walked out when he stared at me blankly but they charge for last minute cancelations, so I did my best to explain it. Because I have to have a photo taken for professional reasons on in two days I was stuck. This was my second attempt at a beard trim from this barber shop. I was disappointed with the first but thought that may have been my fault for coming it with it freshly washed and brushed but not styled. So I when I got home that time I did my best to fix it and had to wait for it to grow out to get it right. I came in with it straightend and styled in my everyday manner this time. It still had the ducktail lines and point. I wanted the flair near my ears removed and the lines sharpened. I left with a rounded off beard that barely reaches my Adam's apple. And it is lop-sided. The longest part of the beard is about an inch off center. My face looks bent now. The hair on my neck and under my jaw was trimmed far to short and it no longer angles slightly forward as before. No longer does my beard get longer from the back to the front in a sharp line, It has been rounded off in the front as well as the side. There is no straight line to be seen. Overall the hair is too short to trim the angles and line back into it without becoming a goatee. I now have a rounded off beard that is lop-sidded. You asked me, when you finally let me see the damage, if it was what I wanted. I said yes so that we could be done. In truth sir what I wanted was to leave as quickly as possible so you couldn't make it worse. I will not be returning, I will tell people of the butchering I received and I will show them pictures. I will recommend that people avoid this establishment.
