We were satisfied with the quote and ready to move forward. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. Communication was very slow, and it took quite some time for them to schedule the work. When they finally began, the work performed did not match what was quoted or promised. They did not replace any planks on the stairs, did not remove nails, and instead of using the specified products, they used a stain-and-sealer mix that looked more like paint on our hardwood floors. The workmanship was poor -- stain was left on the baseboards, and after four days, the floors were still wet and covered in dirt. When we tried to walk on them, the finish left footprints and began peeling. We contacted the company, and while they offered to redo the work, we no longer trusted them to deliver the correct product or quality. We asked for a partial refund so we could correct the floors ourselves, but they did not provide one. We ultimately had to spend an additional $400 to fix and refinish the floors properly. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Remodel Rewards for any hardwood floor refinishing projects. The lack of follow-through, poor workmanship, and unprofessional handling of the situation were deeply disappointing. They couldn't even manage to get the correct color of stain for the job. They left behind proof of using the wrong color and said they forgot to check when they picked it up from the store.
