As a new-to-Sacramento family, changing preschools was one of many major transitions. The leadership and teaching team at Sacramento Montessori was committed to supporting our spirited and expressive child. Rather than suppressing or trying to bypass challenging moments at school, they partnered with us to figure out what was working and what wasn't; and most importantly, they partnered with us to build resiliency, independence and good communication skills in our child. We're grateful for the thought and care that my child's teachers put in to each and every school day; I've seen so much growth from age 3.5 to 4.5 years old in my child's handwriting, letter recognition, emotional regulation and creativity. Kudos to the love that Ms Nanci and Ms Selena put towards creating an impactful bond that made this growth possible. As a bonus, I would be remiss in sharing that the convenience and variation in the meals and snacks the team provides is huge. Going from the daily drudge of packing lunches and snacks to freeing up that time and shopping list from the work week, is a huge delight. If we could do it all over again, we would definitely enroll our child at Sacramento Montessori!

I was not impressed the way the classrooms looked and were operated as well. So hearing under new management sounds good. Will have to take a new tour..

I have been so happy with my child's experience at MITC, and it's because of the amazing teachers…read moreand staff. The two head principals, Ms Brenda and Ms Kristen, set the tone for the whole school and have amazing teachers in every classroom. The school has toys and activities for the children's developmental level, and wonderful events sprinkled throughout the year for the families to interact. The winter show/art auction is ADORABLE and so well planned. So much thought and care is put into this school and I wish my daughter had attended since infancy - she made great friends and memories. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We had our 4 year old here for a little over a year. it was our first Montessori experience and we…read morehad high expectations. Ultimately, we decided to withdraw him after several concerns about the daily structure and care. The most significant issue was a 3-hour daily nap/rest period. Since our child no longer naps, he was expected to remain on a mat for extended periods, sometimes becoming distressed and even crying before school. Upon enrollment we were told that kids who didn't nap were taken outside to play. However, after facing staff shortages over the past few months, there were days when all kids had to remain on the mat, silent for 3 hours. Unfortunately, the school did not communicate this with us. But they did confirm the practice after my son explained what was going on. Additionally, the food provided did not align with what was described in the handbook, with frequent processed foods and sugary items. Overall, this program may work for families whose children nap for long periods and are comfortable with the 3 hours per day of nap/rest. But, it was not a good fit for our child's needs and we were disappointed on the lack of transparency regarding this practice.

He started here at just 5 months old, and yesterday, at 4 1/2, we said goodbye as he gets ready to start his next chapter. For more than four years, this daycare gave our family something truly invaluable: the security of knowing that when we dropped our son off each day, he was safe, cared for, and genuinely loved. As a parent, there is no greater gift than having that kind of trust and peace of mind. Throughout the years, we watched him grow from a baby into the funny, curious, confident little boy he is today. He learned so much, made wonderful memories and friendships, had so much fun, and formed special bonds with the teachers who cared for him along the way. Leaving is incredibly bittersweet. This daycare has been such a meaningful part of our family's life and our son's childhood, and we will forever be grateful for the love, patience, care, and support they have given him -- and us -- over the past four years. Thank you for helping raise our little boy. We will miss you more than we can say.

It was the best thing ever. It was so aggressively adorable - there were bubbles there was one kid who said - gimme your money- you gotta pay for that! It was hilarious. Pretty sure I paid $5 bucks for half a cup of lemonade lol- If we had more cash we woulda gave it all to them. That was super fun. The staff here are great to the kids and let them do whatever within educational and safety reason and I'm here for it. It's actually the owner and the staff and I don't need to lists names- they're all really good to the kids and add so much love to the neighborhood- great job - I'd never take pics of kids that are not my own so no pics... But here is Brenda - she also loves the kids here

The teachers are absolutely awesome, kind and fun and put in so much effort for the children. Our son is often talking about seeing his teachers again the next day. It's worth every penny in my opinion. I often see them cleaning and mopping. They are very accommodating and have several events and outings throughout the year. Most recently they did a "trunk or treat" for Halloween which was absolutely amazing, the teachers made such a huge effort with their trunks it was just the most delightful thing - and so many people came out. Great vibes all round.

Did a drop in visit and I cannot recommend this place due to the appearance. Small house- good student to teacher ratio. Play space for kids age 2 was like the size of my kitchen. The older group had a good instruction area with the teacher. But the place was just dirty and had a lot of stuff all over along the walls taking up walk space. Backyard was so cool! But- 100% dirt and I can imagine the grime my son would come home with. (Dirt angels wears my vision). Lots of cool animals. Personal hygiene is important to me and I'll leave it at that... employees seemed nice- kids well-behaved. Front yard - beautiful but the fence was so low that anyone walking by could pick a kid and run. I mentioned this and she said- we're only out here if not raining and for the last hour of the day for pick up. Eek- it only takes a second! Safety- cleanliness do not meet my expectations. Never enrolled Many great reviews! Just not for me
