The forms were minimal but comprehensive and I appreciated the low environmental impact of their intake forms. Michele was very friendly and very helpful with breaking down how my insurance is used. Paula was my next contact, she got me hooked up with x-rays and ready for my cleaning. Paula was friendly and engaging. I always get anxious going into the dentist, so having friendly staff goes a long way with me as it eases my anxiety. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Austin Erler. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I have never had a dentist explain and educate me in the way he did. I see a bright future for this office with dentist like Dr. Austin Erler involved. He made it seem like it was an impossible fix, and at the end of the "examination" (he only looked at my teeth for 30 seconds and then gave me a lecture on wether or not I should think about stoping my bipolar medication, something he never consulted my psychiatrist about, and never asked for their approval). After that He said "ok... so what do you want from me?" As I was walking out I could overhear him speaking to his assistant about me in a rude tone. They saw me that day, and scheduled to take them out Jan 2nd. Despite rather tricky situations and a lot of work, everything went smoothly. Dr. Duke and staff were very attentive to my comfort, and had really state-of-the-art equipment. I also got lots of milkshake recommendations- the staff were so sweet!! Very personable. My face never swelled up (might be a person to person thing) and I felt almost all better the day after. Went back for a courtesy check up right before another work trip a week later and things looked good. A mayor procedure was planned, involving Dr. Olsen from Smile Missoula, as well as dental surgeon Dr. Holtzen and anesthesiologist Dr. Ochs both from the Cosmetic Arts Center, Missoula. I have epilepsy. All doctors involved were fully briefed and assured me their experience in working with people with epilepsy. Turned out that Dr. Ochs was absolutely not prepared to work with me. He refused anesthesia while I was sitting in the waiting room, all prepped for surgery. All was cancelled even though I had followed each and every step necessary to make the procedure a success. While the surgeon's office refunded the entire amount of my prepaid fees, Dr. Olsen thinks it's justified to keep part of my money for preparatory work. He charged me instead those responsible for the cancellation: Dr. Ochs! Dr. Holtzen! The Cosmetic Arts Center!

Around 8:50, 2 hygienists came to the front; one assisting a patient and the other leading the receptionist back to an exam room. I was then told by the employee that usually handles billing that it would be a little bit. I left the office at 9:15am without being seen. There are multiple dentists here but you can choose to have your child see the same one at every visit. The entire clinic is clean and spacious, with plenty of room for both parents to go back. The office is decorated in fun colors and characters. In each room there is a television above the chair so your child can watch while they are getting their check-up. They also give them sunglasses and headphones to wear during it. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a dentist for your children. They really do have it all here and my kids have always looked forward to their appointments. They definitely cater towards kids and it shows!

The second time they gave false information to our current insurance provider, telling them that we had another insurance policy. This caused our current provider to reject coverage from every single healthcare provider since. We are on the hook for more than $1000 of care which was previously covered until Missoula Pediatric Dentistry's front desk misinformed our insurance provider. Not to mention the front desk is relentless in badgering my wife and I about whatever they need. Unless you pay 100% out of pocket I strongly recommend that you seek care from someone else.
