My…read moreBIGGEST CONCERN is that as a mother I don't believe a man changing a 2 year old girl diaper is acceptable especially without communicating with the parents. I have spoken with some parents and have came in conclusion that we were manipulated because initially we were told he was the music teacher and months later he transitioned into changing little girls diapers secretly. This has been a traumatic situation on all aspects. For me personally, I teach my daughter that no man should be down there meanwhile unknowingly a man has been changing her diaper in which her DAD doesn't even do... not to mention...The Director/ staff failed to notify the parents such as myself of these changes and under no circumstances should it be tolerated despite their lack of staff or excuses. Although this school is under investigation, this review is to shed light where there is darkness. Please don't take this review as a angry parent venting but rather take it from a safety perspective. This school gets new staff often but do not teach the staff to verify the parent before handing off children, my husband has had the wrong child brought to his vehicle and have addressed the importance of verifying parents before giving away children. If sanitation is a factor please understand that this school allows kids to share binkys (pacifiers) and bring them home. Although, some parents might be ok with their child sharing them I feel that it should be communicated. The lesson I learned from this was - Just because you are paying more doesn't mean you are getting the best. *Good luck .. please keep searching *

The director of the daycare is by far the friendliest person I've ever met. Brianna, Misty, and Shabana take care of our daughter very well. They do art projects with her. The staff here provides updates to our daughters progress every day. They use the precious status app which really helps us see how our daughter is doing throughout the day. This is the first time we've ever put our kids in daycare and I would pick this daycare again if we were to have another child. If we stay in this area I can guarantee that our daughter will go to the day care

The last 9 months have been disappointing to say the least. Lack of Leadership and Staffing; a…read morerevolving door for new teachers/employees has resulted in no curriculum, inconsistency in leadership and teachers, lack of safety for our child (we experienced 3 unreported incidents in 4 weeks, one of which included a chipped tooth). There is constant moving kids from class to class to adhere to state ratio requirements. Naps in the gym implemented occasionally because of lack of staff (again inconsistent y). 5 teachers quit in June and 2 in July that we heard of , resulted in 3 classrooms shut down at one point. It's really sad that this school spiraled downward so fast. We stayed longer than we should have hoping it would turn around. The facility itself is old and needs a major upgrade, the A/C wasn't working properly in June and July, just miserable in there for the kiddos and teachers. After moving to a new daycare, I realize how complacent I was for putting up with mediocrity and sometimes insufficient care. I do hope they can turn it around with the new director.

The entire staff knows the parents and children by name and that makes me feel very secure. I'm thankful my boys get to learn about Jesus too.

My wife and I are helicopter parents since our daughter is our first born. When selecting a school…read morefor her we toured 11 different schools in Allen, Plano and McKinney. Although Wonderland was the furthest from our house in Allen (20 min each way) and we passed direclty past 4 other schools on our way there every morning we picked Wonderland. For the last two years they have exceeded our expectations every day. Our daughter started when she was just under two. Immediately her vocabulary grew exponentially. She also showed increased focus and started thinking of others, using words like please and thank you routinely. Her social skills improved and her personality blossomed. She was fully potty trained before her 3rd birthday. As she continued to attend she started doing things like getting her own breakfast of berries and cheerios (at 3 years old). EVERY member of the staff truly cares and does their job because they love kids and believe in the Montessori method. The facilities at the school are second to none. Last month we had to move to Austin for my job. Since the move we have toured 7 schools, all more expensive, and none with the staff or facilities Wonderland has. Wonderland is something truly special for kids in McKinney.

I must admit that I made my decision to enroll my child at this school asked off some of the…read morereviews mentioned, etc. the truth of the matter is "Don't believe the hype!" Wonderland Montessori School in McKinney has tremendous factors that I as well as any parent would find intolerable I feel the teachers' appearances should be professional and most importantly appropriate for a school environment. The type of money I've paid for my child's education should respectfully be looked upon as me being a parent with standards. However the kids at Wonderland get to view their teachers with body piercings, see thru provocative shirts and tops, and multiple tattoos over their bodies. The Montessori should be called daycare because of the fact the children are not receiving a quality Montessori curriculum let alone structure. Children are behaving wildly, having complete control over their classroom, hitting teachers as well as other kids with multiple objects, clearly substantiating dismissal from such a "quality" school. There seems to be no planning of events that involve the parents and their kids. Communication is not consistent, let alone any communication of any kind whatsoever. I have found on several occasions staff members not present in specific key areas where they clearly should be. Who holds a conference with parents in the "hallway," who throws events together spur of the moment? Clearly there is no leadership at this school. Clearly there is no set guidelines for the classroom structure and curriculum, and clearly the communication I have rec'd in talking to multiple parents is that we are no longer going to "Wonder" What in God's name is happening at that damn school...Wonderland...and it's no "Wonder" why I like many other parents are headed outta there and enrolling in a proper environment such as Starwood Montessori in Frisco, where my money is being used for a good cause- my kid! Teachers are in uniforms, there is structure in the classroom, the setting is truly a "school-atmosphere." If you are a parent wanting to feel good about your child's education in a Montessori environment you need to steer clear of that circus act called Wonderland!

To put it simply, we love Ivy!…read more For the past three years, we have enrolled our children at Ivy Montessori Academy on McCallum in Dallas. While there are many other similarly priced Montessori day cares in the area, Ivy's teachers and staff are what sets them apart from the rest. Their teachers are like second moms to our kids and pour so much love into their students every day. Ms. Anisa, the director, keeps us well informed and loves our kids as if they were her own. She keeps the school running smoothly, even through the many challenges COVID has presented. Ms. Julie, the infants' teacher, was such a wealth of information when our children were in her care. She was a great thought partner and helped us navigate through dropping naps, changing feeding schedules and introducing solids throughout the years we were in her class. Ms. Yazmin, Ms. Zarin, Ms. Sherry and Ms. Erica in the toddler rooms are so kind and loving with our kids. While in their classes, our kids' vocabulary skyrocketed and we saw them meet so many cognitive milestones with ease. Ms. Brenda has been THE BEST resource and partner in potty training. She makes each of her kids feel special and leads them through so many creative activities.

I started looking for a daycare when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I asked friends and moms where I…read moreshould go and was give the names of all the "go to" day cares in North Dallas/Richardson. I was shocked at how many facilities had wait lists for infant care - up to 18 months??? It didn't even make any sense to me. Ivy Montessori was literally around the corner from our home. We went in for a tour, unscheduled. The facility was much smaller than the other places we'd visited! We met with Kathie, the director and she gave us a quick tour and showed us the Infant room. It's small - with about 8 cribs, a few saucers and bouncy chairs. But I noticed there was NO smell - it was so clean! Kathie told us that there was no wait list, but as soon as we'd made a decision to bring back the deposit to hold our spot. The best part was, it was very affordable ($895/mo), especially for the North Dallas area. On his first day, I had to come back up to the center mid-day with his tuition check. I walked in to a low lit, quiet day care. The entire center was quiet - everyone was down for a nap. My baby, who had not slept over 4 hours or even in a crib yet, was asleep in a crib, on his back, in a sleep sack. From that day on, he's slept in his crib and slept through the night. They were able to put him on a schedule when I was not able to. My son has been at Ivy since he was 7 weeks old. He's now 7 months old. We have even moved to another area - but I still drive him to Ivy every single day. He is thriving, and has a team of teachers there who love him. I will sing their praises every day and am so grateful we found them. I have total peace of mind when I drop him off every morning, and I know we will keep him here until he starts Kindergarten.
