There's a surprising amount of great vinyl finds in this city.
Calle Costanilla Angeles in particular boasts this spot and Bangla Desh - both solid places to poke your nose in if you're a collector.
Personally, if it's not Sinatra or NiN... I can't really be bothered (yes... i'm aware that combination is ridiculous), but I know enough folks that collect to keep my eyes out for good vinyl.
This place is a delightful hodge podge of things. Like any other used/new mesh music store - it's nearly impossible to navigate. And like any other music store - that's half the fun of it. I can't speak to whether or not they speak english here, as I didn't acknowledge the folks behind the corner, nor did they acknowledge me. Funnily enough, in this very specific instance, I don't count this as a negative - I had my headphones in and was intently plucking through the selection - sometimes, it's just nicer to be given the room to poke around in silence. In any matter, it didn't come off as rude and if I had required it, I would have felt ok asking for help.
I didn't find anything on this particular musical adventure, but the prices were reasonable and for local vinyl aficionados, it's likely a decent place to poke your head in if you happen to be in the area. Make sure to pop two doors over as well and then perhaps into La Ciudad Invisible afterward for a glass of vino while you peruse your finds! read more
