I don't usually write reviews about company's but the nightmare I have experienced with this company, I felt I needed to warn anybody who is thinking about renting from these people. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! I seriously mean it. If I can save somebody from going thru what I am going thru right now with these dirty underhanded evil people, then I have done my job! I have been in this home I'm in now for 4 yrs and Remax had it when I rented it. ( they were great!!) Disciple Realty took over the management of this house 2 months later. The whole time I have been here Disciple Realty never came to me with a new lease after the original one ran out so I have been a month to month tendency with no problem. Also in the 4 yrs I've been here, I've had trash service monthly and I have always paid my rent on the 3rd every month because they knew that was when my check was due every month. They also knew I was on a fixed income because of a chronic illness which has never been a problem. Since I've been here there has been minor things that needed fixing up until about a year ago. They've had to replace the floor in the kitchen and bathroom due to a moisture problem with the house which was not anything to do with me. Then the compressor went out on the A/ C unit and it had to be replaced which again was not my fault! When the guys replaced the A/ C unit they did something wrong which caused a major water leak in the ceiling in the kitchen and the ceiling fell through. Well they had to come out and repair the ceiling. Which again was not my fault! This past October, I get a call from the owner of the house out of the blue blessing me out about all the repairs that has been done. Telling me if I put in one more maintenance request she would put me out of this house!! I was dumbfounded that she said that! She was ranting and raving telling me that they had spent over $7000 and she wasn't doing anything else to this house. Well this past January, the boards on the front porch were rotted and my 86 yr old mom almost fell through one of the boards so I asked to have the boards replaced. Well that was the beginning of this nightmare I am going thru with these people! Right after I put in that request I start getting emails telling me I now have to pay $30 month for pest control ( which I have never had to do the whole time I've been here) and my rent was going up another $20. Now mind you, this is all out of the blue and they know that I'm on a fixed income and can't afford another $50 coming out my check. When I told them that I have never had to pay pest control before and that I couldn't afford $50 coming out of my check then they started another campaign to try and make me move out by coming up with a new lease for me to sign. Well this new lease has it where I have to pay on the 1st by 5:00 and no later or I will have to pay late fees which they know that I don't get my check till the 3rd but this is a way to say I've broke my lease and then they could evict me! Also, they are taking away my trash service and this lease states that I have to pay $30 monthly for pest control and they are going up $20 more dollars on my rent. They are so dirty!! This is the kicker!! I pay my rent every month on time, I have taken care of this home and yard as if I owned it. I haven't done anything to break any rules but yet they are trying to intimidate me into moving out and the reason why is because they want to raise the rent on this home from $750 to $850 and they can't do that if I'm living here! It's all about recouping money that they have had to spend on repairs on this home! Since January I have been repeatedly harassed by this company and had this new lease held over my head and if I didn't sign it I had to move out April 30th! I just got an email today telling me that they have deactivated my account and that they are changing the locks and I had to be out by April 30th. If that isn't dirty then I don't know what is and it's all over money that they had to spend on repairs which was not my fault!! They came up with a plan to try and intimidate me into moving out. They figured if they started telling me that I had to pay for something that I've never had to do before that I would get mad enough and just leave! They were wrong!! I haven't done anything to deserve the dirty crap they are trying to pull and I'm not the only one that they have done this to. It's a pattern with them. If you start costing them money you better watch out because they will find a way to put you out!! Just read the reviews from other REAL TENANTS! I've heard they've hired people to write positive reviews because they were getting nothing but bad reviews!! Also read the complaints from the Better Business Bureau. If you are thinking from renting a home from these people you better think about it. They are wolves in sheep's clothing!! Don't be fooled by them you will regret it!! read more

No one ever answers the phones or emails. I believe this is intentional and there is a lack of care. The only response email that I received was after I called them out on their bullshit and I did not receive any type of follow up or hint of caring customer service. I do not recommend dealing with these guys out of the fact that the staff attitude does not place an emphasis on the renter. Live outside of Hinesville. The civilians are arrogantly reassured that military will buy from them so much so that they have thrown all courtesy and customer service out of the window. There have been some new staff members... at move in, we were promised a fence, we are finally getting it today & it is all thanks to Traci!!! Traci worked every day since she received the work order & had it taken care of immediately!! She was in contact with me almost daily so I didn't feel ignored. I was pretty frustrated with how long the process took considering I have an infant & 2 dogs so, I was VERY happy once Traci took over the situation. She was always very polite, never made me feel like I was being annoying by calling all the time (I really called ALL. THE. TIME) I am more than happy with Disciple properties. They have been so good to us! We plan to stay here for as long as we are in the area. Moved in Aug 22 2016- AMAZING company. We recently pcs'ed to Hunter from across the country.. With a 5 month old & 2 dogs!! We were very nervous about finding a home in time for our stuff to be unloaded (also dumping money into a hotel) I looked a several different homes in the area.. Every home was way over priced & dirty. I finally came across a home in Pooler that Disciple was renting, this was on a Friday, late afternoon. Cathy at the front desk is one of the nicest/ most down to earth people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She got us approved for the home within minutes & by Monday we were moving in! Disciple lifted a HUGE weight off of our shoulders, I love how they were so understanding to our needs with having a baby (that ended up with a double ear infection & teething) & dogs, staying in a hotel etc.. & got us into our home very quickly! The home is absolutely gorgeous! When we first moved in there were a few things that needed repair (as expecting from the home being empty) they sent out Dennis & he got everything working so quickly! We seriously called the office every day for an entire week with a new request, it was never an issue & Dennis was here that day or the following. Dennis is also a SUPER nice guy & I believe he can fix anything! Everybody at Disciple are very nice people, they even played with my baby & made him happy while I filled out the application!! That was very sweet of them. We are very, very lucky to have found such an amazing company to rent from & will continue to rent from them for as long as we are renting in the area. As a renter, dealing with the Disciple staff has been wonderful - we got to know one of the agents while here and really liked her - very attentive and just a super nice person (Traci). We're getting ready move out, again the staff couldn't be more helpful (Courtney). These people seemed good at first until we actually need anything. After receiving email from them I figured that when I email them they would respond. I was horribly wrong, between my wife and I we have email numerous times with a grand total of responses being 0. We are home owners ourself and we ensure our property manager has good communication with the folks living in the house. We have been in this house for a year now and we like the house but due to the lack of customers service will more than likely be ending our lease. If you like to have customer service or the ability to communicate at all with your real estate manager I would not recommend this company read more

The property managers there truly helped us, as long-distance landlords, manage our house and make sure our tenants were satisfied and had what they needed. They helped us find tenants when our previous tenant left unexpectedly, and their review process secured us a family that has taken care of our home as though it's their own. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! I would give zero stars if I could! We lived in a rental property for 28 months. 1 year into our contract they started charging us extra money for our "pest control" when we inquired we were told the money would be taken off our account as we were indeed paying the correct amount according to our contract. Upon moving out we then told we owed $100 for pest control even though we paid every month in full according to our rental agreement. We also used to carpet cleaning company that disciple recommended when moving out. They NEVER showed up on the day we scheduled, even though we waited all day. They told us they could come back the following Monday and we were moving out on Sunday. Disciple let them into the house after we left and and did the move out inspection without us present, as we couldn't do the inspection before the cleaning was completed. The inspection was done 2 days after we moved out and disciple had given other people access to the house. They then turned around and said that the carpet couldn't be cleaned so they used our deposit money to buy new carpet for the home owners. I feel like we were purposefully circumvented from the process so that they could illegally say that we damaged the property (we did no such thing) and take our deposit money. We are a military family and have dealt with many property management companies over the years. We have even dealt with another company in the local area. We have NEVER had an issue getting. A deposit back, as we always take good care of our homes. The house was also advertised as having a fireplace (the fireplace never worked) and the ice maker in the refrigerator also never worked. No amount of calls about these issues could get them resolved and the few issues that did get resolved took several weeks to do so. In my opinion. No renter should ever have to go 3 weeks without a refrigerator! My family will be pursuing legal actions and we are in the process of trying to have the company placed on the military "do not deal with" list. Please learn from our hardships and do not do business with this company. read more

Do not go to this place at MRS. Cathy works at the front desk she acts like she's God fearing and caring it's all a scam... We had some major issues they were going to work around with a additional $100.00 added to my rent monthly for the next 12 months ... Everything was fine, the deposit was made all we had to do was pay our pro-rated rent...until it was time for the walk through... They did a digital walk through but left out some damages that I remembered while viewing the property. I asked if I could get a real walk through and about their repair policy,because I didn't want my kids to get hurt and it become a liability on our renters insurance ... I was then told each property was AS IS... I told her I needed to call my husband and notify him.. She then told me she was going to call me back with an appointment!!!he went to get the keys just to do a review before we signed the digital pictures print out and picked up the keys...they told him they NO LONGER WANTED TO GO THROUGH WITH THE CONTRACT BECAUSE I ASKED TO VIEW IT and TYPICALLY THIS CAUSES PROBLEMS LATER ON!!! Disciple Real Estate was our property manager for residential rental in Richmond Hill, GA. Our lease agreement with our tenants -as prepared by Disciple - prohibited smoking and pets. We were appalled when we learned that Disciple had not paid attention to the fact the tenant was smoking heavily in violation of the lease; had they ever inspected the property as they represented they would (and later even admitted they had been too short-staffed to do so), this would have been obvious! Moreover, b) after vouching for the tenant and encouraging us to allow the tenant to build a fence by assuring us that they (Disciple) would certainly be aware should the tenant attempt to conceal pets (our concern in response to the fence request, to which the property manager stated in an email that she drove by the property daily and would know if such were the case), Disciple failed to observe that the tenant had been, in fact, breeding pit bulls who ruined the yard. Even worse, the tenant built the fence on the neighbor's property (despite that we had also asked the property manager to ensure the fence was built within the property line). Had Disciple set foot on the property, it would have been obvious that, the fence was so far on the neighbor's (unoccupied) property line that the neighbor's sprinklers were inside our yard! When the rent was late for the very first time in years, the property manager did not act promptly within the time period specified in the tenant's lease to contact the tenant to learn they had in fact vacated! This caused for us loss of rent. Though we cooperated fully with Disciple and strived to pay for the repairs quickly (repairs after tenant move out were executed and managed by Disciple's own sister repair business) so that the property could quickly be re-occupied, Disciple was extremely slow to submit the final bill, and unresponsive to our requests to return to us the key to the property. These delays resulted in further unnecessary loss of rent. After we retained a new property manager and finally received the key from Disciple, we learned there were even more repairs necessary. We learned about the presence of the prior tenant's dogs only when the new property manager inspection of the property after Disciple's repairs were completed! Therefore, Disciple did not inform us of this even after the tenant moved out! Moreover, in response to our inquiries upon multiple annual lease renewals regarding the acceptability of nominal increases in rent, Disciple discouraged any increase, always advising that the rent was commensurate with other properties. To the contrary, our new property manager had no difficulty in increasing the rent by $100 per month. Finally, our chances of collecting for property damages and lost rent from the tenant who vacated and defaulted on the last month's rent are virtually nonexistent because, at lease signing, Disciple fell short of protecting us in that they obtained the signature of only one occupying party. That party's income is of a nature we will be unable to attach for damages and lost rent. Had Disciple been thorough to obtain the spouse's signature (employed elsewhere), it would have made a significant difference in our ability to collect. This kind of blatant management neglect and tenant leniency unfortunately cost us into five figures in combined lost rent and property repairs. We can only conclude that Disciple had their own - and not the landlord's - best interest at heart. After finding a tenant, they did little more than collect the rent. This is in stark contrast to our good experience with attentive property managers for our property in another state. We can only conclude that we would have better protected our investment and fared far better financially to save the property management fees and have the rent paid directly to us. read more
