Not a fantastic music store, but the best one in town by a long shot. Cheap used vinyl, which is good--I own the entire Steely Dan catalog because of this store (with the exception of "Can't Buy A Thrill", every copy of which I find looks like it's been underwater since 1976), for which I am forever grateful.
The problem of course is that they were very overpriced when it came to used CDs--who is going to spend eight dollars on a used Folk Implosion album? Someone, perhaps, but not me. Not that it matters, of course: no one buys CDs anymore anyway. The last time I set foot inside, there was a 60 year old woman looking for a Skid Row EP, which sadly illustrates what most of their clients were like. Ah life.
The store is closing soon. read more
