It's actually called "Dirk van de Broek" or "Dirk" for short, but I cannot change it on here since the don't seem to monitor any edits in Europe. But either way, I absolutely love this large grocery store in Katwijk. It has two large parking lots and a petrol station that is self-serve and the cheapest in town. The staff at the grocery store are local, friendly Duchies' who are eager to help and always nearby. Store is well stocked, clean and prices couldn't be lower. Even a great wine and beer selection. They have 4 bottle return machines for plastic, glass, cans - very convenient! It is easy for me to swing by after work on my way back to Amsterdam. It is part of little shopping center where you'll find other stores such as a pet store, drug store and others. Dirks has a sister company called Dirks 3, and that sells wine and spirits, and that is around the corner down the hall. I look forward to shopping here each time. read more
