By the front doors and by the register are the discount racks which sometimes have good deals on wine or crackers or tomatoes for example. There are also living plants on sale at the front of the shop. Most items are between .99 and €3, so you can do your discount grocery shopping here.

This is a reasonable Albert Heijn location, located below Markthal, while the store is a decent…read moresize, this particular location always seems busy and crowded, which can make the shopping experience a little uncomfortable, likely down to their central location within Rotterdam. For tourists, Albert Heijin is the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands, it's pretty much a brand you can't hide from and it seems they have stores everywhere you look with almost 1000 stores in the Netherlands. The product range in this store remains good for a store of its' size, in terms of layout and prices, it's pretty much a typical Albert Heijn, nothing too noteworthy or out of the ordinary. There are some manned checkouts alongside the self-service checkouts, which AH always seems to be pushing heavily. The stock levels weren't great, but again reasonable considering how busy the store was, which means some items will go fast and it would be hard to restock. 3* - OK, average Albert Heijn location, but I would really suggest avoiding at peak times!
