We have made no less than 5 appointments to have someone come out and no one shows up.... Worst service ever!! If you are considering using Direct TV I would explore other options first!! It sounded far-fetched, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. 10/24 - As anticipated, no response. Called again and spoke with Sierra who again, was of no use. I asked to AGAIN speak with a supervisor. After waiting for 1 hour 27 minutes (stupid me) with her coming back on the line every so often to assure me that the supervisor was coming, she disconnected the call. I guess that was her way of letting me know that a supervisor wouldn't be coming after all. Right back at you AT&T/DirectTV. I would love to give this pos business "0" stars. 95 percent of the channels are just advertising or infomercials. Im just keeping my account active til the contract is up. If I could give some negative stars I would. I did a 24 month contract. The price went up after 12 months. direct tv (worthy of only lower case letters) told me it was in the contract that the first 12 months was a promotion amount! If you hear someone trying to tell you anything good about dt run the other way. If you break the contract it's $20 for every month you have left. If you try to call customer service you will be on hold for the rest of your life, then after you die on hold, then click the phone will mysteriously hang up. They stay with a lot of game from the moment they trick you into a contract to the very end when your done with them, then dt want you to mail the equipment that they bought to your house! The worse I will never, ever deal with this company again. I advise you not to either. read more

I have been with DirectTV for many years and have been a satisfied customer until Now. I went to renew with them and they got me a better price, but did not tell me they were downgrading my pack to get to that price. Called for help to rectify the situation and the response was basically "So sad, too bad" and thanks for being a loyal customer. read more

So easy to get sales people to sell and install new service or bundle. .....Then forget about it! It's all downhill on the service side. You get an 800 number to call which I will refer to as the "Merry-Go-Round." Here you will get a robotic voice asking you to make selections to get you to the right person or dept. Good luck, as none of the choices are the ones you want. So far each time I've called, it's taken 2 hrs to get to a rep who can either not help you or only partially help you then they have to try to transfer you to someone in a different dept. Also, there is a language barrier and their accents are heavy and hard to understand because English is a second language. Last night I asked the rep to stay with me on the phone as he transferred me to the Merry-Go-Round and even he had trouble navigating the treacherous waters of ATT/Directv phone tree. When he finally got someone who could handle my problem, he disconnected from the three way conference call and cut the call off. They made me transfer a bundle out of my name into my mothers name just to get her name to appear on the caller id. This in turn triggered a domino effect which erased the free NFL and NBA ticket and added charges of $302 to my moms first bill. After my 2 hr call, the rep said that billing was closed and I would have to call back on Monday. Someone else has to put the Free NFL and NBA promos back on the account correctly and someone else has to fix the caller Id problem which was the original reason why we had to transfer the account into my moms name in the first place even though we live in the same house and are both users on the account. Oh and I was supposed to get $550 in Visa cards for signing up for the bundle originally and was only given a link for $300 of it. Now I see that you have to maintain service for a certain length of time or the visa will be denied. Even though it's the same account transferred to another party in the same house, and I'm still using the services, they changed the account number. So I will have to call yet another person in the rewards dept about my visa rewards. All I know is there is a continental divide between wireless and home services and there are numerous departments within departments and then some more sub departments under different umbrellas. Whether on the phone or on the ATT app you have different ids, passwords and passcodes and security questions which you better know and you will never be transferred to a supervisor no matter how many times you ask. I am in a new subdivision which only has ATT as a choice. If I had free will on this issue I would choice a different service provider. As it is I still have at least three more 2 hr calls on the Merry-Go-Round to try to resolve this problem. read more

I have been a Directv customer for nearly 2 decades....sadly I am contemplating canceling my service over my latest issue with Directv. My service was interrupted a week ago with a bad access card code. I contacted Directv to resolve, an hour later the technician explains the card is bad, so they are going to send me out new equipment. A week later and my equipment arrives, we attempt to activate as we were instructed to do, not working.....I contact Directv again for assistance, over an hour later and two different technicians, they decide a technician would have to visit. He arrived today and fixed the problem in 15 min, but then explains to me, ALL my recorded programs are gone. You see AT&T does not store these things in a card or the cloud, they store them on the hard drive in the box....so if you need to switch your equipment for any reason, you lose all your items! I was very unhappy with this and contacted customer service for compensation for my loss. They offered me $25 for my trouble!! Seriously apparently customer retention is not of value to these folks and they have plenty of customers, but just lost one more...... read more

I was already signed up for a $50 package with direct tv. I called to find out about an installation guy that was suppose to be coming to my house to install my direct tv service that had not showed up. I was told it would be best to make another appointment and I told him that I was very upset as I would have to take another day off of work to be home. He said he would compensate me. So, he put me on hold and then came back on saying he was going to credit my account $50 for the first month leaving me responsible for $14 and some odd change, making my monthly bill $64 and some odd change, I asked why bc my bill was suppose to be $50 a month. He responded with, " I had to change your monthly plan to be able to give you the $50 compensation". Needles to say I was very upset that now I would be paying 15 more dollars a month that I did not agree to. Spoke to a manager and he said there was nothing they could do bc my plan had already been changed (without my permission). I canceled my plan. Just want everyone to know the kind of people you will be dealing with if you are thinking about using direct tv. I wouldn't have given any stars but they make you give at least one. read more
