I've been working online since 1998. I'm quite good at SEO, but when it comes to getting a handle on Analytics and paid search, I just didn't have the time to keep up with it. I tried a couple of paid search companies, and after struggling with language barriers and the fact that I'd never speak to the same person twice, I'd given up and just kind of went on Auto-Pilot myself. Enter Direct Placement, which at first I thought was just another company claiming to be my "Google Representative". They must've said something right, because instead of hanging up on them (which is what I normally do) I gave them a shot. That was a year and a half ago and I couldn't be happier. They. Are. Awesome!! They charge a small fee on top of your expenditures with the search engines, and REALLY appear to pay attention to my business. I get detailed monthly reports on traffic and conversions, along with a description of actions they took on my behalf and suggestions for improvement. Communication is easy. Cost is reasonable, particularly when you're able to compare it to sales! As for the few negative reviews about this company, Looks like they were a few years ago - maybe due to overly aggressive sales people? Not sure. All I know is I am confident they are doing right by me. read more

The service I have received from Ethan and staff at Direct Placement has been timely, thorough, and respectful. Initiating Google Ads and a website transfer was made easy and mostly hands off for me by Ethan. When I need something, I get attention right away. I am thrilled with the team and am so happy I found them! read more

Very professional and helpful. Any questions I have had have been answered quickly and detailed. I would highly recommend using direct placement if you are starting a business and want to get your name out there. We tried other ad sources and ended up canceling them and putting our money towards Direct Placement. read more

Called pretending to be a prospective client. I find this unethical. I would never hire someone who did this. I highly recommend not cold calling and pretending to be someone you are not. read more

I have worked with Direct Placement for years and had to disconnect due to a string of unfortunate events and Covid closures. Adam and his team are highly professional, empathetic to their client's business and profits to ensure their success and yours. Not many are! I always get my money worth of value from their exceptional customer service, knowledge of their business offerings and would never hire anyone else because an honest and trustworthy marketing partner, which is what I consider them to be - my partner in success - is worth so much in peace of mind. I can highly recommend Direct Placement for your professional advertising and website needs for increasing your success. *note: this is a real review. read more

I received wonderful customer service, a very patient developer, and my site was on page 1 as soon as we worked through a couple of minor kinks. I'm already receiving calls from prospective clients. read more

They seem like they was legit company when they called me, but then started to get a little smart and pushy with me when I told them I want to think about it. and kept trying to sell me their services and also tried to talk over me. which gave me some red flags and then I find the other reviews on here I'm glad I did not go with them.. read more

Cherie is outstanding!! Not only is she thorough in her work, but an absolute pleasure to chat with. She keeps what can seem to be a "techy" project light and easy to follow. Direct Placement is very lucky to have her on their team. As a company, DP is vetted and trustworthy. I would certainly recommend anyone to do so business with them! read more

I love a company that cold calls and then gets belligerent when I tell them I don't want to be called. you called me, I didn't ask or want you to, don't be all hurt and catty when I tell you not to call. want an amusing read? check out all of the glowing reviews written by employees. not a single positive customer experience but everyone sure loves working there. Must be because they have complete freedom to be totally rude to anyone they solicit. read more

A colossal waste of time, money, and effort. Advertising on Etsy has proven more profitable with a CTR 800% higher and a CPC of only 60% compared to Direct Placement. Add in the constant high pressure to leave them reviews PRIOR to any services rendered along with more pressure to recommend them to your friends plus even more pressure to buy additional services should have been a red flag. Even after canceling my credit card and receiving an email from them asking why they couldn't charge my card for more services, they then claimed to charge the card and issue a refund as a "favor" to me. No receipts. No record of any account activity from my bank No activity was reported to the credit card company. Genuinely bizarre billing. Do yourself a favor and download DuckDuckGo, StartPage or switch to a VPN. read more

I was grateful when Direct Placement called my business. They were very helpful in getting my business noticed online. They have been doing this for a long time and had great insight and were willing to work with me. I only wish they had called sooner. Only a month later and my business is getting more web traffic than ever before and that is turning into sales I wouldn't have otherwise had. Great prices for the services they offer and all employees, even the CEO, are willing to work hard for my business. This is a company I look forward to continuing a relationship with for the life of my business. Can't say enough good things. read more

EDIT: A day or so after I sent in my cancellation notice I received a call from Jason, the Operations manager. He very kindly and patiently took me through the system and showed me why my ad had not been showing up - it was actually a google snafu, not an issue with the company's work. Jason was very understanding of my frustrations with the lack of communication from my sales rep (and let me know the issue with the rep had been dealt with) and offered me a full refund or the chance to continue my contract with them with an extra month for free, since my needs were not met this first month. He provided excellent customer service to the extent that if I go back to sponsored ads, I will reach out to Direct Placement and see how they can help me. ******************************************* It is unfortunate to have to write a poor review, but the experience I have had with Direct Placement forces me to to preserve the time and energy of other business owners. I was contacted by the company to facilitate SEO optimization and was excited to discover that the keywords I was looking for were significantly less expensive than several years ago. My sales contact did a very good job of explaining everything to me and setting me up. I was promised (and it is written in contract) that I would be contacted within 7 days to see the results of their work and verify that I was properly placed on the first page of Google. I heard nothing for 2.5 weeks, and my site was not showing up. So I reached out to my contact to find out what happened and was told I would be contacted in a few days at the latest. Well, that time has come and gone as well. The good news is that Direct Placement is very affordable for SEO. Tragically, this is completely irrelevant if you are pulling out your funds for a service that apparently does not exist. I have asked for a full refund and will update this review as things unfold. read more

I have worked with this company to get two websites, (one a retail nail file site, and the other a vacation rentals directory) on the front page of search engines. At first I was confused because it's not SEO, but paid search internet ad marketing, like AdWords. It is paid marketing, but I like that there is not a long term contract, so I can pick my own keywords, monitor results in real time, and make changes to increase my ROI over time. Overall the company has done exactly what it said it would, I have gotten increased traffic to my websites, and I recommend them to anyone looking to get their company on the first page when people look for pertinent phrases on search engines. read more

This company cold called me more than once about my website and my business. I told them I wasn't interested in advertising and finding more work and they were pretty rude about it. They told me "I can't remove you from a call list, I just found you on Yelp", which is a pretty backwards way of refusing to stop contacting me. The guy (Matt) was sort of a smartass about it. I don't know what these people sell, exactly, but they should reconsider the way they conduct business and adjust their demeanor to be less aggressive and rude. read more

Nothing I was promised happened. I only rarely saw my ad and yet was told there was NO downtime on my ad. I ask for a report two weeks after the ad began and NEVER received a report.. I cancelled on the date I was told by the sales rep Matthew, but when I called he wasn't there. The front desk required I submit a cancellation letter which Matthew later said wasn't required at all, and then told me it was too late and they would cancel after the 2nd month. I sent messages that I wanted my ad cancelled immediately, but was charged $150 for a second month. I again requested a report which I finally received. It showed only 5 clicks over two months and yet the ad phases were supposedly the most popular phases used for my business. I don't believe the ads were up but for a fraction of the time, requests for reports weren't met and they charged me for an extra month. A total of $354 for nothing. This is a bad company read more
