I spoke to Gina and we went back and forth regarding the details and anticipated premiums. I was trying to get a plan solidified before the close of enrollment, but had no success reaching her to finalize coverage. She remained unavailable and would not even recognize text messages. As a result, I was left without coverage until enrollment opens again. I chose this company based on reviews but found that I should have looked elsewhere. No. We thought that by using Brightway as an insurance broker we would experience better customer service since most large companies are now fully automated. We were sadly mistaken. After 2 years of being with Brightway, we found we did just as much work as if we were on our own. I had to follow up to ensure we received all discounts, and still got the run around with automated messages and voicemail. On the rare occasion that we were able to connect with Ryan, our Brightway representative, we always felt as though we were bothering him mid snack or something. We received a letter from our insurance carrier that we needed to reach out to Brightway as they were no longer authorized to broker for them... hmmm. We never heard from Brightway, so we found our own insurance online and cancelled Brightway after 30 min of transferring to incorrect depts, telling us we could do it online, couldn't find it, so after a big sigh, the female customer sales rep finally says she'll take care of it on her end.. Lackadaisical customer service, nothing special.
