I am going to start this review saying that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sports and Ortho in Sauganash!! I…read morewas very pleased with this group from the start. The entire team is professional and friendly and I felt like they ALL had a vested interest in my recovery. I was extremely impressed by their approach and that my PT was not limited to just my foot. They take a whole-body approach and evaluate beyond the area with pain as it can affect other areas of the body. My walking stride had changed to avoid the pain in my heel and it meant some work on my ankle, calf, and hip. This was not something I had experienced in PT for Plantar Fasciitis in the past. I really appreciated that each session would begin with a quick review to get a feel for what was working and what may not be advancing my recovery. I was also intrigued that they offer dry needling and cupping in addition to the PT. This was the first time I've ever tried dry needling and it was a very good experience. For me, the combination of massage, PT and dry needling worked to get me walking pain free. Travis, Erin and Cam are an amazing team who are very focused on each client to make your recovery a priority and I absolutely loved getting to know them!

Long review - but worth the read if you are looking for the best PT team…read more Sports & Ortho Sauganash is amazing! My Background: Having had 2 full knee replacements and now a hip, all at a "younger age", I have plenty of PT experience with most of the major players. Sports & Ortho - Sauganash team is a standout. Location: For me it is very accessible, nearby, street level and easy parking. It is a small location but it has all the equipment needed. Appointments and scheduling: They have both onsite staff and remote staff who support all Sports & Ortho locations and they respond extremely quickly, both to/through voice and email/website contacts. It was simple and quick to get an appointment and schedule my PT (3x per week). Hours of operation seemed odd on the website but IRL actually work well. I have never had a problem getting an appointment within my schedule. The Team: Assume this is the culture all over, but certainly the Sauganash team - therapists and the floor tech here are all extremely nice and well trained in their work. They know each and every patient by name and greet them coming/going and perhaps more importantly all of them have "eyes on" all patients regardless of whether it is their own and know any special needs, issues, things they should or shouldn't be doing or experiencing etc. They also understand how to work with /what works for you much quicker, and can customize and adjust your/my therapy sessions to provider faster and most effective progress. Everyone pitches in, the therapist talk to the patients, (not each other - unless they are collaborating about a patient). The PT/PA spends a solid 45 minutes with patients "hands-on", full attention, each and every session. I have worked with all of the PT/PAs (Travis, Erin, Deanna and even their intern Michael), every one of them is outstanding. Cam is the only floor tech I have worked with - he is a natural, very helpful, attentive and kind. In summary I can't recommend them highly enough - if there were more stars to award I would.

Nicole also has a great personality so it was actually enjoyable to come to PT. As you progress in your journey, the exercises do get more challenging. Nicole is a great trainer of form which would make her an incredible personal trainer. The rest of the staff is also personable and professional. The front office staff is so nice and friendly but this is where the one star was lost. They do not have a good system for billing. They "forgot" to bill $120 worth of sessions. They owned the mistake but it was still annoying. My husband also had this happen to him at this location. They would be better office having the patient run the card each trip instead of having a card on file. They just need a better system. Past that, it's a great place with great people. If you can get past the weird billing inefficiencies, you will improve physically.

My shoulder surgeon from Midwest Ortho was so impressed on the advanced range of motion I achieved, he wanted to know where I went for my PT. Absolute professionalism and your goals in mind, they begin with review of your injury alongside your doctor's PT order and put a personalized plan in place and are explained with client/patient. As you move through your stages of exercises, the therapist explains what muscles you need to engage, how and it's importance to your recovery. After working closely with therapy team, in time you move into doing your exercises somewhat on your own. You may think the therapist isn't watching closely, but any wrong move, you'll here a voice correcting your movements/tips on how you need to improve from the team. There front desk is welcoming and helpful with insurance and appointments working closely with the therapist who ensures your progress keeps moving forward. Your recovery and best health is the teams main goal for you to reach before you graduate and exit their doors as you say your goodbyes. So very greatful for all of their knowledge and encouragement in pushing me through each and every time I required PT. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my PT!

They also provide cupping and dry needle acupuncture. One of my favorite part is the soft tissue massage. Jessica is amazing with the soft tissue. I originally went due to a pulled muscle which eventually got worse and had a bulged disc. Long story short, I had a hard time walking and in constant pain and left with almost no pain. Some places may have asked to continue coming back because of good insurance coverage but Adam said you should be good to go and left on my last day with exercise equipment and printout of exercises that I can do from home. Liz started working half way through my visit and she is a great addition. One day I'm going to be able to do as many planks as her. Thanks Adam, Jessica and Liz.

I am a veteran of PT rehab stints having had two hip replacements, two rotator cuff surgeries, and one hip labrum tear surgery over the past 25+ years. I believe I know a thing or two about effective PT therapy. Not to take anything away from Athletico, who treated all of my above issues, the Elevate PT team is a significant cut above the typical PT practice. What stands them apart is their deep attentiveness to proper form and function, plus utilizing a frequent change of protocol to both challenge me and keep me motivated. Shivani's goal is not to just get me back to some sort of "status quo", but to make lasting improvements that leaves me better off than before my arrival at her practice. She also taught me many things that I could incorporate on my own to better manage my lower back issues, and those have proven to be quite useful. She pointed out and fixed things wrong with my gait and posture that no one had ever pointed out to me before. Her knowledge and ability to present it in non medical terms is really terrific. All the while doing this with an incredibly friendly and fun demeanor. After all was said and done, I was so impressed with Elevate's practice that I sent my wife there who unfortunately fractured her femur (surgery, rods and screws...the whole works) shortly after I completed my stint. She is working with both Shivani and Maneesha and is thrilled with the treatment she is receiving. What better recommendation could there be than sending a family member?

They have an amazing view since they're on the 6th floor. I called to make an appointment late on a Thursday or Friday afternoon and they were able to see me tat Monday. They share the space so patients have to ring a doorbell. Delphina helped me tremendously to find good time slots with my irregular work hours. When I had my first appointment, Greg was incredibly detailed. I initially just for my toe that was stiff after surgery, but he did ask about all my concerns. He is very comfortable to talk to, makes PT fun, and is patient and understanding. He encourages patients to let him know if anything is bothering them and to "take it easy". If an exercise is too difficult or painful, he will either readjust exercise to be more tolerable or he will have me do a completely different one. He worked with not just my toe, but my hip, knee, ankle, and entire foot. Before, I had to go up and down stairs one step at a time and I couldnt stand on my tip toes. Now I can walk up and down stairs normally and can reach things on shelves. I'm so grateful for my mom for the recommendation and to Greg for helping me walk normally. Editing to add that Greg's Assistant, Sumeya, is so helpful and supportive. She did a few exercises with me and was so encouraging
