The Casal Infantil is on the 2nd floor you have to pay €3.20 for a day. You can leave your child and come back before 8pm.

I wish I had more time to actually learn about the cathedral and its history. Great place to take pictures obviously. Even though there were a lot of people around, we were still able to get shots without anyone in the background. Probably because we went there around evening, but it was still rather bright at night. Highly recommend!

The Cathedral of Barcelona, which is also called the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia,…read morewas built in the Gothic style from 1298 to the 15th century. It is an active church that provides masses, confessions, and other sacraments. It also provides tours for 16 euros and up (as of the time of this review). I understand that some people think that a church should be free to enter, but I also understand that many tourists are not practicing Catholics and that the church needs to bring in revenue to pay its bills. My tour guide took my husband and me to the exterior of this church and explained its architecture and history. We did not pay for an interior tour. It is a lovely church to see.

This gave us the opportunity to experience the fountain show, which was down the block from our second hotel we stayed at on the trip. It's open to the public- Free entry 9:30pm-10:30pm show in the summer, wedsneday through Sunday! They have music playing, it's lively and the fountain show I feel was super nice, a great little date night experience in front of the castle. Now what I did think was a bit annoying were those fools who were selling the LED spinning launcher toys. They would be shooting those up at the climatic points of the fountain show and it was a bit distracting. Aside that, the fountain show can be seen 360, no matter which side you stand on it's great! The water lights up all sorts of colors, timed with the music for dramatic effect. I really enjoyed it!

We immediately went to the Mossos to report the crime. They said we needed the IMEI for my phone. We walked all the way back to the room we were staying in with a friend, up 8 US flights of stairs and back over 2 miles of city walking. They told us we also needed my passport. We repeated the process. When we returned, they accused us (both very sober but tired after the almost 4 hour ordeal) of being too drunk to report our crime. I shiver to think what would happen to a drunk woman who was raped in this city! I looked straight into a female cop's eyes and said (in Spanish) "We only want help." They responded by taking down my husband's ID number as if he was the criminal and told us to try again tomorrow. Before this incident, we even considered moving to Barcelona. I'm sorry to say that will never happen now. What a corrupt police force! I can't believe I ever liked the Mossos.
