I have been to all the Needham liquor stores. They're all good, really. But for me, Bin Ends is the…read morebest of the lot. All the stores have a great selection of wines, and all of them do a great job selling high end wines. Want an $80 bottle of wine? no problem at any of them. What I love about Bin Ends is they regularly offer the best deals on cases of wine of great low prices. While I love a good bottle that is higher priced, I often am just fine with a good quality low cost wine. Bin Ends meets all my needs. On top of that, they are super friendly, great service, and will go out of their way to get you what you want if they dont already carry it. Bin Ends is the only store I go to now. You should make it your only store too.

Great and interesting selection of wines, very well-priced. No complaints there, but the customer…read moreservice is -very- hit or miss. For example, I was in a couple months ago and had a great time talking to the gentleman (older, clean-shaven) working. He pointed me in the direction of a couple neat bottles I wouldn't normally have thought about, and his recommendations clearly came from knowledge and understanding what I was interested in. I went back tonight (Friday November 7), though, and despite two employees (a heavier man with a goatee and a woman with bangs and glasses, both middle-aged) working, I was in the store for ten minutes looking around without either of them saying a word to me, despite both of them coming within five feet of me. Not a "how are you?" "can I help you find anything?" "I'll be right with you". Literally nothing. There was only one other customer in the store in that time -- I put my bottles back and walked out. If the owners/managers read this, definitely worth talking to these two -- I've spent plenty here in the past, and customer service this poor was a big turn-off tonight.

A nice woman directed me to the far end of the store where I located the cider, and another nice woman was at the register. Easy in-and-out, I love it. Huge bonus is the large parking lot!

I've had just about everything on the menu and it's all been top notch Unfortunately, the rest of the store is not handled with the best customer service. The old dudes at the front are as rude to customers as they are to each other. Snarky remarks, condescending tones, and poor customer service is the norm at Marty's. The cashiers barely open their mouths. I've never heard a "thank you" or a "you're welcome" in all my time there. They barely can mutter the price of your items. I'm sorry if dodgeball was tough for them in high school but I still expect some courtesy. Just last week I watched one of the old dudes (the one who looks like he came back from a Sam Elliott look alike contest) bump into a customer and not apologize. Not only that but the customer who I would assume is a decent human being apologized to the bearded loser and the bearded loser had some snarky remark under his breath. Marty's is a good sized store and has good variety as a result. The managers and cashiers however make it really hard to continue supporting this business

Cute spot out in Newton, usually pretty busy and they've been around for quite some time so overall…read morethey are doing something right! We had about a 20-30 min wait for a table and explored the area and shops on the block while we waited. When we got seated we cruised the menu and ordered the following: APPETIZERS - chicken karaage - our order came with crispy chicken however lacked seasoning and was a bit over cooked and dry. - okonomiyaki-styled tater tots - the BEST appetizer we ordered, needed a pinch of salt, but flavor wise with the bonito flakes and sauce it was a hit! - green papaya salad this needed more seasoning, mortared herbs and chilis maybe tomatoes and garlic. Pass next time. RAMEN - miso ramen for the kiddo and she enjoyed it. She can't eat spicy so this was a very mild ramen. Didn't think the miso flavor came thru but she enjoyed it. - spicy miso ramen the lady got this one and i tried a some, the broth was lacking a bit of depth today. It's not spicy so normally I'd say even the non-spicy crowd probably would be able to handle it. The broth just tasted more watery was looking for the punch of flavor. Now the noodles were chewy and had great bounce to them, the char siu pork cuts were tender and melt in your mouth! - chef's ultra ramen - this broth definitely was the better broth out of all the ramens in my opinion with plenty of proteins and more depth of flavor, umami, smokiness, smelled great too. - spicy tan tan the brother got this one, it's typically what i would normally go for, he enjoyed it, not too spicy either, could use some more crunchy garlic with the chili oil. Overall would come back to give it another go, perhaps the heavy dinner rush some things got lost in the cooking on certain dishes.
