My boyfriend and I stayed at this campground from Friday Sept 28 to Monday Oct 1st, 2018. We had…read moresome difficulty finding a place that was open this time of year, so we were pretty excited when we found this campground on such short notice. The location was perfect for us. It was only a 15 min drive to Drumheller and it was close to a lot of the tourist sites we wanted to go to. Washrooms were kept clean, but you do need to pay $1 to have a shower (more like $3 for a decent time). We found the water took a good minute to warm up. We got a site with power and water for our tent trailer and there was a picnic table and a small fire pit on our site as well. Sites were pretty close together with not much for privacy. Luckily for us the trailers on either side were empty. They had a nice open area with a park and volleyball net - I could see this campground being a lot of fun with a group of friends in the summer. Our site (#5) backed onto a trail along the river that we could use to walk our dog. Overall a great experience, but more privacy would be nice.

Kid friendly with play ground. Showers are ridulous because you have to pay almost 3 bucks for a decent shower. Considering it costs as much to rent a RV as a 4 star hotel room.

That didn't sound like enough time for me, but I managed quite well with just $1. Including the days I washed my hair. Arcade for those who like arcades and a laundry facility. Both close at 9. Dump station at the campground with water. Was enough to access.

$47 a night for water and electricity. $52 for water,…read moreelectricity and sewer. Reasonable amount for a rv campground. Positives: - LOTS of kids - 40min bike ride to tyrell museum - 5 min walk to downtown and to the tallest dinosaur. - Very family oriented - location 5 Negatives - limited privacy. So if you enjoy your privacy, maybe this might not be for you. I feel I have to address the review from 2011: #1 rabbits are not caged, they roam around the campsite. I don't know if allowed to touch them. But we teach our kids not to touch animals unless ask owners first. So we let them be. #2 power boxes at the campsite has an 15amp or 30amp switch to choose from. We only needed 15amp so we just switched off 30. And not every site has sewer, little white canisters sticking out of the ground but they do have a dump station near the office area on the way out/in. #3 playground - has a chain link fence around it but is locked due to Covid-19. But there is a community playground out and to your left from the campground. #4 correct showers are $1-$2 for a time period but we just used our shower in my parents motorhome. But I dont have a problem with $1 showers, water ain't cheap. And you dont need a LONG shower to get yourself clean. Washrooms at this time was use at own risk due to Covid-19. #5 cancellation policy - If you cancel your RV  Site or Tent Site reservation 7 or more days prior to your arrival, you will be refunded the amount of your reservation minus a $10.00 cancellation charge. If you cancel your Cabin reservation 7 or more days  prior to your arrival , you will be refunded the amount of your reservation minus a $20.00 cancellation charge. And If you cancel less than 7 days prior to your arrival date, one nights amount will be withheld. No issues on how its managed. Recommend this to any family coming to drumheller for camping. (Oh and prebook your visit online for tyrell museum)

Slum Camping with owners to match…read more Well, to say that this is a run down campground is a MASSIVE understatement. It is like camping in the slums of a third world country. The website shows NO likeness whatsoever. As you drive up to the Campground, it looks like a garbage dump or a salvage yard. The campsites are as rough. The roads have big divets from the rain with no maintenance, the sites are not maintained and are extremely ungroomed. The washroom facilities are a joke! When we checked in, we were told the power is out and the washrooms were closed but no discount. They nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING! My daughter and friend went to the General Store as they watched a couple of little kids buying ice cream (which was beyond inflated pricing), gave the cashier $50 and she failed to give them change until my daughter spoke up. Shameful! We then got evicted as the owner, Stacy, thought we were a different site claiming we hadn't paid and that we had a tent on site. We did not. We were then threatened by Stacy, that the RCMP had been called which would hae been a welcome interaction but she was unwilling to discuss. We waited but the RCMP never came. We went into the office to clarify where we were then berated, name called, yelled at, threatened and sworn at by the owner. Low grade, unprofessional and need serious lessons on customer service. What a disgrace! SLUM CAMPING.......

You know, we never liked seasonal campsites. We thought if you have a fifth wheel, it's meant to be…read moretowed. While that is true to a certain extent, but you'll find that that camper only gets towed somewhere a couple times a year and let's face it, gas is expensive. Then, consider storage fees if you can't keep your camper at your home. So here's the deal. Seasonal sites are sorta where it's at. They are a convenient distance from major Alberta centres. You can buzz down and have a relaxing weekend. You actually use your camper more than once or twice a year, which is a good thing because those things aren't cheap. And it's like a small community. You know your neighbours, they become your friends and your kids have a shangri-la of things to do and summer friends to hang out with. Starting to sound good? That brings us to Green Acres. This place is a members only site, so you can't just mosey on in and expect to join in on the fun. Well, you can, sort of, but you gotta know a member. But it's worth it. Firstly, the place is immaculate. Well manicured and well kept. The people there are so nice. Didn't bring food? That's ok, Lucy's has you covered with a full service restaurant. Need stuff to do? Great! Pick up the newsletter to hear about the camper walk & shop, dances on long weekends or the camper crawl. Or, just head down to Lucy's for a swim in the salt water pool, video games and pool tables. Oh yeah, and the book exchange. Go down to the lake and wade in the water or send the kids to one of three playgrounds. Oh, you'll never be bored! Maybe consider unplugging yourself from social media or Yelp (sorry, Yelp) because the reception in the valley is pretty weak and sometimes non-existent. However, cell service is ok. But who needs that when you are relaxing, right? Yep, love it there hanging with old friends and meeting new. Definitely a must go if a seasonal camping site is your thing.
