This north Portland commercial complex has something for everyone, and I highly suggest stopping by to check it out. First and foremost, this is a truck stop with all of the ammenities one would expect to find in such a place. There is a convenience store, laundry facilities, showers and overnight accomodations. But this truck stop takes things to the next level. Visitors will also find a movie theater, an oil bar with seating a great customer service, a massage parlor with a wide variety of modalities and services offered, a large family-style eatery, as well as a lounge and entertainment space that hosts well-known musical acts touring the country. Jubitz has been around for a very long time, in various iterations, and it seems to only get better with age. The overall scope of this place is remarkable. The restaurant is massive, the lounge is as well, and the big names that perform here are pretty impressive! I've bookmarked their performance calendar and will be sure to check out one of the future dates myself.

On the basis of that long experience, I would highly recommend this fuel center because of its convenient location in a good neighborhood, easy-in/out, and their clean/uncluttered lot. Now it seems, I have to drop the "highly" from my praise. In the past week I've been inconvenienced/delayed on consecutive visits by malfunctions of their computer system - momentary interruptions or unexpected reboots - either before or while I was pumping gas. Long lines form at the window while the clerk vaguely explains to each customer that we can't pump gas (or pay with credit or debit card, or get receipts for gas already pumped), because their "system has gone down". Not good, Fred Meyer. Ger 'er fixed, or customers like us (who pass up other gas stations to get to your fuel center) will soon stop visiting your location.

We saw a few gas stations but decided upon the Fred Meyers station in order to combine our gas stop with a drop in to the grocery store. Access (5/5). Easy on/off 26 (including one entrance at a traffic light), and easy access maneuverability to the pumps. As mentioned, there's also easy access to the main Fred Meyers store. Service. (4.5/5). This station had full service pumps. Being from a different state, we hadn't seen these in many years. The attendant was friendly, and helpful, reminding us that there's a discount with a Fred Meyers loyalty card. We have a membership but didn't have the card with us. He successfully put our telephone number in to get the discount. The "full service" only included pumping the gas; we're of an age that we remember when the attendant would also wash the windshield. We're not sure if there were self-service lanes. Value. (4/5). We paid $3.61/gallon (Sept 14, 2024), which included a $0.03/gallon membership discount. The gas station in Welches was advertising $3.55 on their sign. We're rounding up our rating to 5.0.

A little bit interesting to get into if you haven't been there before, however the way that we drive it's very convenient particularly when we are on our way to Sandy. The last couple times it's been super busy. I'm not sure that the store has anything super wonderful that I want to go and get but I'm not there for that period I'm there for gas. The store had the chain-specific items such as Jacksons Bake Shop baked goods, a hot foods section, and deli-prepared items. By the refrigerated and frozen foods section, I spotted some motor oil options available (I had bought a quart of oil the day before and mentally tagged this chain to remember in case of needing oil while out driving). Across the aisle was a selection of frozen novelties, of which some Häagen-Dazs items caught my eye. Looking over other cold items, they also had Icee slushie/slurpee options available. However, volume-wise, the single package of a Häagen-Dazs vanilla milk chocolate almond ice cream bar sounded most appealing, so I went with that. Payment was straightforward and the counter workers were friendly. The store and attached Shell gas station were moderately busy, so I went with a second area of parking a little ways off from the entrance of the Jacksons store, at the far end of the Shell pumping stalls. Nice to have more than one area to park.
