When I gave her secretary that message, Mrs. Horton called me RIGHT BACK like I was the most important person in the world at that moment. After that, I believe important to seek a second opinion. I came to Butterfield to see if he was going to understand what I was proposing. He took the time to do the math and think about what I was actually coming up with. And he acknowledge that what I had done was actually smart and worth keeping. So, because he made an effort to be open minded and make sense of my ideas, I knew I could trust him to be able to vouch for me. We then proceeded to a cohabitation agreement that was fair for all parties. -----If you are buying a house or condo with someone and each of you have a different amount of money for down payment, go to him.
