The park is surrounded and I do mean surrounded by beautiful lush forest. The only spot you cannot find a tree a bush or anything that grows up is in the dog park? They have removed everything so it is very easy to see all the biological landmines that are all over the place. If they'd left the forest you wouldn't have been able to see any of it? The stupidity of some people is beyond belief. But you can take a nice walk through the forest over a cool little Bridge after you're done being disappointed by the dog park. This may be the greatest Miss in dog park history! If they just would have fenced in the force that was there they would have had a winner winner chicken dinner!

It is Well fenced and has a very nice walking trail that is probably close to a third of a mile. It has a very nice shade/shelter structure as well as multiple benches all along the trail. It has some very unique additions that are bridges over what I am sure must be the wet area During certain seasons. There is also a brick bridge over a little lake with a Bridge Crossing old-time structure on it. The park has plenty of old growth trees and shade as well as an incredible amount of open area for your dog to run as well as a few little Hills tucked in every here and there. The entire park actually feels like something you would read about in a nursery rhyme book. The entryway alone will put you into a different mindset and the amount of donation bricks was unbelievable

Lots of area for the dogs to play and the grounds are well kept to avoid mud puddles. My dogs absolutely loved it and I did too. They have a nice gravel trail for the humans to walk, rock bed in creek areas, water fountains, a bridge and benches for humans. Plus there's shaded areas and pavilions so you can sit back and relax and watch your dogs play. This park is absolutely gorgeous. I'm so glad I stopped here on our way through.

They have effectively removed all those dangerous trees so it is just a big flat open space. There are a couple of benches and a poop bag dispenser and trash can. But other than that there's not much else. Again it is a nice walk to get there and they do have very nice double gated entry areas although they are not concrete.

We went into the dog park with our dogs and headed to the far picnic table. The dogs were near us and just as we sat down, one dog let out a loud yell! When we looked to see what was wrong, several wasps were around one dog and had stung him. We went over to the other picnic table near the gate and noticed two wasps there and decided to just leave. Pros - The park is nice looking with two picnic tables in the small dog area and two in the big dog area. It's got wood chips for the ground cover, and doggy bags available for cleaning up after your dog, as well as water fountains for people and dogs. Both the large and small dog areas are fenced with double gated entries. Cons - Obviously the wasps, also not enough shade, and not good signage to find the park (it is within another park, we took a few wrong turns trying to get there). P.S. Our dog was fine after being stung, just soar in the area :)

There's plenty of parking, a boat ramp, places to do some fishing, and picnic tables! It's also a very pet friendly park! The Riverwalk is also a fun place to host events, both for the city and privately. The new, state of the art bridge has a stage set up beneath it with lights and is the perfect place for a concert. The grass area in front of the stage is like an amphitheater of sorts, where people can bring their own chairs and enjoy the atmosphere. Lastly, there's a brand new foot bridge that takes you across main street and directly to Columbus' soccer fields and the Hitching Lot Farmer's Market on summery weekends!

The monks are on their way to Washington, D.C. from Texas, and are walking every bit of the 2,300 miles. The park itself is very nice and spacious and well-maintained. There's a walking trail and a play area for kids. I didn't see where the restrooms were located but they are there near the play area. The park sits in a nice residential area and I can imagine that the locals are proud of this park. I also saw a few benches in the area where I was standing. There's a lot of parking near the entrance. Overall, it's an ideal park to take a nice stroll or run and to take the kiddies while school is out. Since I was attending an event here, my pictures reflect the event. Check the park out for yourself to get the full effect.
