This boba shop is probably one of the cutest I've seen in Germany thus far and definitely the one with the biggest menu. There are so many drinks, but also so many options to customize sugar/ice and toppings. Walking into this store and looking at the TV screen with all the options was like walking into an eye exam (this is simultaneously a heehee and a lowkey roast because those letters were so tiny, guys. BUT not a big deal-- they also had paper menus available to look at! It was just funny). I was honestly amazed by the variety here-- from milk teas to fruit teas to yakults to mousses to matchas to fresh teas to smoothies and more.
They had a top 10 list as well, so I went with their #1 which was the regular black milk tea with golden bubbles. The bubbles were ALMOST perfect. I like a firm bubble that has a chew, and these were ever so slightly too hard. It was probably because we came into the store at around 6pm and they were sitting around the whole day. They scooped them from this metal bowl that seemed like it had been there for awhile, so that may have been why. We think if they were fresh then they would have been perfect. They also had a slight sweetness to them that came out once you bit into it. It was the perfect little bit of sugar that was needed to go with the milk tea that I only got 30% sugar in.
The milk tea had a decent flavor, but it was a little too milky. I also think it was flavored with half & half maybe? Because it had a strong hit of creaminess to it that was somewhat overwhelming. My dad got a taro milk tea-- it was made of powder so it wasn't as fresh, but it tasted as expected given that fact. He got grass jelly with it that was certified "slurpy" (so it slid up the straw).
We also tried their peach black tea and passionfruit green tea. Both were refreshing! The passionfruit tea had a hint of tartness to it that accompanied the 30% sugar well.
So glad we got to try this place as our first boba stop in Munich! Thanks for the boba! read more
