In a couple of minutes, the food is brought to your table. What was surprising, Exotic meats: ostrich; duck; lamb; rabbit; lamb and zebra!!!!! Tried panang curry, it was ok. Someone in the group…read moresuggested we try this place and not sure what happened when we booked but, we ended up with two tables of 6 instead of one table for 12. Few things about this place that annoyed me initially: 1) Revolving entrance door - I am not at an airport but a restaurant. 2) Pets not allowed - no sign on the door and apparently it's on their website - sorry websites are so last season ;-) 3) Slow service - its a buffet but waiting ages for drinks and table service is tiring 4) for a buffet style place having tables where half the table has to get up everytime someone in the middle wants to go get food - poor design :-( There is a food buffet and you get to choose 1,2 or unlimited trips to the buffet. There are about 8-9 sauces you can pick from sweet, mild, nutty or spicy. You decide what sauce you want each time and go up to the buffet and decide what ingredients you want from vegetables, noodles, fish, meats and herbs. You then hand it to the chefs who cook it with the sauce you have chosen and it arrives back at your table when it's cooked. The choice of ingredients is quite good and there are quite a few varieties of seafood and meats including things like camel, elk, squid, ostrich and so on besides the normal choices like salmon, beef, lamb, pork and duck etc. Food here tastes pretty good and the Chili Garlic sauce I picked first was the hottest sauce on offer and it was nice and punchy. The satay sauce was also quite ok but the mango maracuja sauce was too sweet for me. All in all an ok experience I would probably repeat but on a quieter night. I have been to Mongolian BBQ's before, which were quite different and actually had things like grilled meats, which you don't get here at all. Why its called a BBQ is a mystery to me :-) Something below I found whilst looking for proper Mongolian BBQ and explains everything about this place.....;-)) Mongolian barbecue (Chinese: 蒙古烤肉; pinyin: Měngg koròu) is a stir fried dish that was developed in Taiwanese restaurants in the 1970s. Meat and vegetables are cooked on large, round, solid iron griddles at temperatures of up to 300 °C (572 °F). Despite its name, the cuisine is not Mongolian, and is only very loosely related to barbecue

Great, authentic hot pot place for an empty stomach on a freezing gloomy rainy night. Also after traveling around Europe for two weeks, a good choice to satisfy your craving for that hometown flavor. We came here for dinner during Oktoberfest with a group of 12, and it could not have been a better experience. Pescheria set aside a large table in the back just for us and gave us top-notch service from start to finish. The staff really went above and beyond, giving great recommendations and even arranging a few special dishes from the chef just for our group. We asked if everything could be served family style so we could all share, and they delivered perfectly. Some of the highlights were the seafood risotto, the seafood sampler towers, the fresh oysters, and the fish dishes. We ordered four large fish for the table, and the star of the night was the turbot. It was prepared with a special two-step cooking process, first steamed and deboned, then fried to perfection. 10/10 The wine program was also fantastic. We went through several magnum bottles of red and white, and the staff expertly paired them with each course. Everything about the night felt relaxed, delicious, and celebratory. If you're in Munich and love seafood, especially with a group, Pescheria is a must visit. Highly recommend!

We tried the open buffet (@19.90€ each) and took a bottle of water and jasmine tea (together we paid 46,5€). The open buffet itself was perfect - we picked different types of meat and got them cooked right away, picked the sauce and veggies - very delicious! At the end we got few lichees, pineapple, watermelon - also very tasty. The overall experience was very positive, I definitelly recommend this place!

Portion was ample for one person and in the end I had to ask them to box the rest for take-away (which they happily did). For dessert I tried a flourless almond chocolate cake (yummy but a bit dry for my taste). All desserts are cakes or muffins. But each has a story to it - tiramisu is sugarless and there is one cake which is olive oil based. Drinks - Quite a good variety of drinks - beer, wine, coffee and fresh juice. I had fresh fennel-apple-lemon juice. Was very refreshing and I could smell and taste the ingredients. Although a bit sweet for my taste but overall a very nice drink. Ambience - nice, calm and casual for a quiet dinner. Lighting is dim and relaxing to the eyes Service - cheerful, friendly, no-rush attitude. Bonus for me was that they have English speaking staff. They were very willing to help in order for me to make a choice with the dishes, drinks and dessert. And also to box my remaining food as take-away. Pro - good service, calm relaxed ambience, tasteful food Con - a slight bit expensive for what the restaurant offers. For my dinner: Entree ~11, Juice ~5, Dessert ~4 Recommend this restaurant if you are local. I am looking forward to try out the buffet next time I am here.

This is why I could only give 4 stars. Upon arrival we were seated, no menu was provided. We were asked what we'd like to choose from: 1) the hot pot cook-your-own-meals, 2) pre-prepared Chinese buffet, 3) combo of both We weren't sure so we chose the combo. The cooked buffet food was quite delicious, and then we went to the raw-food line and chose our veggies meat and fish that we could cook at our table in our own hot pot of broth...which was brought to our table with a spiciness level chosen by us. We chose medium spice, but it was quite spicy for what we were used to. Next time we'd go for mild. When you are done eating, there's a woman who comes around and asks you to pay your bill (not your server). You're expected to know how much tip you want to add while she's standing there waiting so that she can add it in. We were told a 10% tip was customary. After thought...We were both too full, so next time we would not order the combo, it's too much food! Ice cream/yogurt/Chinese grass soup is available for dessert.
