A Truly Exceptional Doctor Who Changed Our Family's Life!!!!!…read more We were referred to Dr. Towery by my teenage daughter's pediatrician. Although his services were expensive, we were desperate to help our daughter and willing to do whatever it took to find someone who could truly make a difference. So we decided to give Dr. Towery a try. Before seeing him, multiple psychiatrists had diagnosed our daughter with depression. But to our surprise -- and relief -- Dr. Towery determined that she did not suffer from depression, but rather was exhibiting rebellious behaviors typical of adolescence. In today's world, it's all too easy for professionals to prescribe medication and continue treatments indefinitely. It was a blessing to find someone who took a different approach and wasn't quick to medicate. Instead, Dr. Towery recommended insightful books and a practical rewards system tailored to our daughter's needs. We followed his advice, including delivering the "wake-up call" he urged us to give -- and it worked. We saw a 180-degree transformation in our daughter. Later, when our younger son was diagnosed with OCD elsewhere, we brought him to Dr. Towery as well. The bond they formed was incredibly strong. When the day came that Dr. Towery said goodbye because our son's OCD was cured, my son was genuinely sad -- he misses Dr. Towery dearly to this day. Dr. Towery is a rare gem in the field. His honesty, insight, and commitment to truly helping children and families is unmatched. We are forever grateful, and I give him my highest recommendation

They would extend sessions under the pretext of "needing more time to reflect and appreciate the moment," which felt unprofessional and disrespectful of boundaries. The billing practices feel predatory, in addition to consistently billing more than what we've agreed upon to, Kevin attempted to have me pay for a series of non-refundable sessions. I've never encountered a therapist who pressured a client into paying thousands of dollars upfront when we don't even know if it's a good fit to work together yet. They are scam artists preying on emotionally vulnerable people, pure and simple. Additionally, this was the only therapy experience I've had where the therapist dominated the conversation, talking about 75% of the time or more. Sessions often felt more like listening to the therapist's reflections and stories than being guided through my own process. There was also pressure to give perfect ratings in surveys and to avoid providing honest feedback, I'm not sure if they are evaluated by their practice from these scores directly. This made it difficult to share genuine concerns or trust that feedback would be received constructively. Lastly, Stacy Clark and Kevin Cornelius did not have the skill or emotional presence to hold difficult emotions. They will simply take a long time to repeat back what you've told them rather than understand and dig deeper on the why and how the behaviors arose. Overall, I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking a professional, client-centered, and time-respectful therapeutic experience.

I highly recommend the services of Dr. Cathrine Reed of Peninsula Mental Health. Notably, she is…read morevery well organized and detailed oriented in her practice. Thus, her notes of office visits and her questions that begin each session are extremely thorough. In addition, she is also cautious and careful as she works with you to determine the best plan for treatment. At all times, Dr. Reed has the patient's needs and concerns in mind. Recognizing the impact of increased environmental stress and other factors, Dr. Reed effectively adjusted and refocused my prescriptions accordingly. Perhaps most notably, Dr. Reed is interested in the whole patient. As such, she takes time to listen and to hear what you feel is happening before she determines a course of action. Dr. Reed has a calm demeanor as well as personal warmth that makes her accessible. At the same time, she upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. She is an excellent choice for someone in need of a psychiatrist. Justin E.

After a few sessions with Dr. Reed I knew she was a perfect fit for me. I've struggled with depression pretty much my entire adult life, so I know what it looks like and generally what works and does not work for me. Dr. Reed didn't try to reinvent the wheel or push any pre-defined notion of what she thought my treatment should be - she listened to me and what I wanted to improve upon in order to devise a plan that worked. She did challenge some assumptions and suggest many things I had not thought of (which was great!), but never in a way that felt like she didn't trust my own assessment of my feelings and my health. We landed on a plan that included medication and cognitive behavioral therapy (both of which I had positive outcomes with previously), as well as incorporating some new mindfulness practices that have been very helpful. Overall my experience with Dr. Reed has been fantastic, and while I wouldn't presume to know what everyone is looking for in a doctor, I highly recommend giving her a try.
