Really great doctor's surgery. The receptionists are lovely and always really helpful. I have seen…read more2 different doctors and they were both great! Sometimes it can be quite difficult to get an appointment but that's London for you!
I still think this is a good doctors surgery BUT, oh my goodness it is hard to get through to them…read moreon the phone! I'd been trying to make a non-emergency appointment for a few weeks, but I could never get through...and when it's not an emergency I always think I'll try again later... and put it off. So, I waited until I felt really terrible, and then tried to get an emergency appointment (you have to call between 8:30- 9:00am to book a same-day appointment.) They left the answer phone on until 8:50, saying the surgery was closed, please call back after 8:30. *sigh* Then I called and called and called (42 times), but received the engaged tone each time. Finally, I managed to get the phone to ring...but then after 25 rings, no one picked up, so my phone disconnected the call. Urgh. After that, I gave up and walked over to the surgery instead...but was told they'd just given away the last emergency appointment. In the end, I started to cry (I'm not good at handling stress when I'm feeling poorly...and knowing I'd have to wait another day in pain just to go through the same problem the following morning stressed me out...) so the reception staff persuaded a doctor to see me after all. So basically, this GP can be excellent if you get to see a doctor... but it's not easy to actually get an appointment. If nothing else works, crying in the reception seems to help.
Sniff cough cough, sniff…read more... I knew the say would come when I would be feeling a little under the weather and think to write up about these guys. Basically this is a NHS walk in centre with a proper doctors surgery attached. It's a little bit of a weird building anyway, like a little portable home that has been plonked behind a large fence and had a NHS sign plonked on it. I have to say that the people who work here are lovely, you can catch them on an off day and yes if you do just walk in expect to wait 3 hours, but as far as centres like this go, this is one of the best. There is loads of waiting space and a pharmacy right next door in the Morrisons so it's super continent. There is the Brooke Road surgery about 10 minutes walk from here but it's not a patch on this place. Oh and the doctors are friendly and the nurses caring! :O)
Sorry, are we talking about the same place? I've had the total misfortune of using this 'care…read morecentre' for the past year, and I've found the staff on every occasion to be at best rude, and at worst totalky incompetent. I'd recommend to anyone thinking of using this centre to avoid at all costs- there are other centres in stamford hill and stoke newington where you will be treated with a little respect and sympathy.
By far the very best doctor I have ever registered with. Dr. Gor is particularly good. I would definitely recommend this surgery to anybody who is lucky enough to live in the area.
A friendly and welcoming local GP practice that's worth registering with if you live in the area…read more The reception is bright, open and inviting. The booking system seems very good and they usually answer the phone promptly, don't leave you hanging and give you an appointment within a reasonable time frame. The nurses are very friendly, apart from one who acts like she's a doctor and has a very superior manner. In fact, my actual doctor is far more approachable and not at all superior. All the records are computerised and if you need a referral, they will try to sort out an appointment straight away online. Highly recommended.

Which means I actually got zero advice about what to do next. Then I get a random email asking me to get a blood test (which is a little scary/random and wasn't mentioned on the call) but can't open the doc as supposedly I was sent a password via text (I was not). overall quite disappointed and definitely confused about my medical situation. I suspect I will have to call up and get another appointment - not the best use of anyone's time.

My prescription was not sent to them. I have wasted a trip to the pharmacy, wasted my time, petrol (I drove) and I paid for parking as it was in the high street. I suffered from a broken ankle due to an injury back in March and I still need the support of crutches. So in conclusion this journey was not an easy one to make. I am disappointed and now I dread the feeling of having to go back to the pharmacy again

After 2 terrible GP experiences in London I find this little gem of a practice…read more The Doctors are lovely and listen to you without rushing you off and the reception staff are just if not more delightful which is highly unusual in the NHS let me tell you! They cannot do enough to help you and really work there hardest to accommodate you and see you if it's emergency.
