I recently visited the renovated Victoria location. The spa looked great and I noticed that it was quite busy. The girls at the front desk were quite helpful and provided me with a list of treatments to take away and I promised to share this with toy female colleagues as my office is conveniently located near your Victoria branch.
Last Monday I decided to try out your services and had my eyebrows threaded. When I entered the girls at the desk were helpful and again the spa looked great. One of the ladies doing the treatments took me to her chair and tried some rather aggressive sales tactics because they had no additional facial or massage appointments that evening. I politely declined as I had really only gone in to do my eyebrows and wanted to test your services with something minimal at first.
The lady then told me that my shellac manicure, which had been done elsewhere, was bad. I told her that I was fine with it and she then complimented the colour and continued on my eyebrows. When she was finished and asked me to look at my eyebrows I had to show her that they were quite uneven both in shape and that she had taken a fair bit from the centre on one side only. She then blamed me for not telling her that the shape may need to be amended and that she was just following the shape. While I did not say anything, it seems quite bizarre to me to think that someone would come in and expect uneven eyebrow threading or waxing. The lady then agreed to remove some excess on one side and told me that I could fill in the areas where she took too much until they grow back.
Given that my eyebrows take sometime to grow and that I generally don't wear makeup this is quite the impediment.
This negative experience has definitely made it less likely that I will visit your locations again. I did also speak with my colleagues after they noticed the botched eyebrow threading and I think it unlikely they will visit either. I am sure that you have qualified and talented professionals working in the role and I would urge you to see that those who are less skilled in both customer service and threading refrain from doing this task where the aforementioned are integral.
I did try to contact them directly to discuss, however, the form on their website had an error where the format for the DOB was not ever accepted, despite many iterations.
@Dimple's: if you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me. read more
