Not one, but two medical techs told me there isn't a stethoscope in the entire clinic...and they were taking my blood pressure with cheap electronic readers that made both of my arms blue...and I had to insist they stop waiting for the machines not to work and take it manually with a stethoscope and they said they don't have any and wrote I refused to have my blood pressure taken WHICH IS NOT TRUE! I had my first visit this past Monday. The front desk staff didn't seem welcoming or professional, having side conversations while you're standing at the window. I was seen by Dr. Megan and she was really sweet. She asked my concerns, listened and offered many options. She prescribed me an oral medication and a topical medication for acne. I have been calling for four days because the topical cream was never sent to the pharmacy. My pharmacy also reached out with no response. HORRIBLE way to conduct business. You will never reach anyone by phone or if you do, they will transfer you to a voicemail. I still don't have my medication.. read more

Front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. The nurse practitioner was kind. Aside from that, everything else was gross. We went to have a mole on my daughters face looked at. The nurse practitioner came in the room and did not wash her bare hands before she touched my daughters face. She did not offer much info at all about what to look for regarding skin cancer. She said that she was going to send us up to Slidell (45 minutes away) so they could take a photo with a viviscope to determine next steps, if any. I thought Dmitri Dermatology would've had this equipment onsite. All of this I could maybe overlook but the filthiness of the place speaks volumes. I was referred to Dimitri Dermatology for chronic hives by my doctor. Everything went well, then it all went downhill after I was called to the back. Dr Megan Stamps then entered the room & started asking questions. One question she asked was if I was sure I had hives. I told her yes, but I forgot to mention I went to the ER for it back in May. I wouldn't recommend going here because they ask you questions when they clearly see what's wrong with you. She told me she would refer me to an allergist to have tests run & she wants to see me in 2-3 weeks. I will be getting a second opinion & will not be returning. read more

I trust my doctor at Dimitri dermatology. He goes above and beyond to take care of my numerous skin conditions. I've had such a great experience with this establishment and their staff that I will travel to clinics that are pretty far away so that I can continue to see the same physician on my days off from work. Dimitri has several locations and all of them are great. My favorite locations are this one in Slidell and also their Covington clinic. Skin problems can be scary but if the right professionals are in charge of your care, it really takes a lot of the stress and uncertainty away. I highly recommend this practice for both medically necessary and cosmetic dermatology. I am very impressed with the treatment results for my numerous skin issues. read more

Dr. Dimitri is NOT A BOARD-CERTIFIED DERMATOLOGIST! I learned this today. She is an MD who has a dermatology practice, but she and her staff are not dermatologists. Do you seriously want someone who is not certified in dermatology to practice her learning on you? I am only posting here because of the appalling way I was treated at her office. They gave me a new patient appointment at ten minutes after the hour -- really? Allow ten minutes for a new patient? Then, although I was early, as they requested, I waited TWO HOURS. The NP or PA who saw me was in a great big hurry. My whole-body skin cancer exam consisted of me standing there in a paper gown with her glancing at me up and down, having me stand there and put the gown on the other way, and again glancing at me up and down, telling me I was fine. I hate that my insurance paid for that! After a few more rushed words, she told me to get dressed as she flew from the room. A moment later, she opened the door on me while I'm standing there with my clothes in my hands, naked, to tell me something else. That was the worst doctor's office experience I've ever had, bar none. If you want wait for hours only to be rushed and humiliated, go for it. If you want to trust your skin cancer risks and other skin problems to someone who is not a board-certified dermatologist, be my guest. I suggest you go on her website and check out her staff. Their educational backgrounds are, um, interesting. Not a one is board-certified in dermatology. Having a keen interest in the subject does not certify anything, except, perhaps, enthusiasm. read more

I should have read the reviews before I went! I had an appointment at the Slidell location today. I was sent to the back where the PA came in to discuss my issues. As I began to explain the PA rattles off a few options to address my concerns. As she was explaining she realizes that she doesn't have any paper to write on so she tears of a piece of my chart and scribbles the name of an over the counter cream that I should purchase to help with my problem. I asked about another procedure and asked if it was covered by my insurance, the PA stated that the patient had to contact the insurance to find out if procedures are covered. The PA once again tore off my chart and wrote down billing codes and stated that I must call to check what they cover. She then sent her assistant in with a Q-Tip to half wipe my face with some type of solutions and told me to wash my face with a paper towel. No further instructions were given. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager tried to cover up the poor service by offering me some samples of face cream that was NOT recommended by the PA. I reached out to the general manager and explained my experience, she stated that she would look into the situation and call me back... needless to say, I never received a call back. l have been a patient at Dimitri for over five years who has a skin condition that affects me mentally. l am a truck driver with a schedule that's not accommodating to normal business hours. I was prescribed an injection that has to be taken every two weeks. Because Dimitri did not want to accommodate me in giving the injections. l was pass phone line to phone line trying to schedule an appointment. I then was transferred to Tina who over talk me when l was trying to explain that l had to go to the ER because l had a sever break out and that ER proscribe three different prescriptions and that they where not workin and l needed my injections and that my insurance provider said my injections where there over a month ago so they where in the office to give me the injection. Tina then said , "GOOOD BYE!" and hung up. I then tried to call back and they would not let me speak to her nor Dr Megan to inform them of my medical emergency. If you are looking for a Dermatologist who cares about you and your family I would really reconsider my options before going to Dimitri Dermotology at any of there locations read more

I was under the assumption that doctors diagnosed a condition once they did the research... OH WAIT... THATS NOT RIGHT. Doctors don't research anymore, I forgot... I have probably been to Dimitri Dermatology in Kenner about 6 times, every time I call, they say... are you new cause I can't find your information. Then I tell them again my information and oh there I am, NOT NEW! Now at the appointment: Walked into kenner location, the lady doesn't say hello or any of the other 5 people standing there do. Why be nice... NO one taught me how to be nice. Its COMMON SENSE! I asked the lady if she remembered me from the last 6 times, joking I said, you can't remember my birthday. She didn't even acknowledge I said anything or didnt even she smile. They must be miserable. WOW. but I keep trying! Anyway, I have seen Megan and Linda, both nurse practioners, got the run around. They keep ordering blood test, the same one twice, took 4 weeks to get back to them. I saw Megan the second time, she didn't even look at my chart, walks in and says what can I do for you? I said, I did my blood work, is it back yet? She said OH Yeah, I have to go look at it. CAme back in the room and says there is nothing wrong with you. I can't help you. haha. This was after she saw it clearly on my skin. I got pretty upset, she says well nothing is on the test, what do you want me to do? I said look at my skin, get more than 20 feet from me, how can you be a dermatologist without looking at my skin!!!!! So i didn't see her again. I made an appointment with Linda. she ordered more test... end of story. Then....today I was seeing Clay. He walks in, crosses his arms (which is a sign for being uncomfortable or I just dont give a crap). He said tell me what is going on. I said its a long story, I would rather shorten it. He said NO, tell me the whole thing.. so I start, trying to go as fast as I can because this problem I am having has ruined my life, cost me $$$$$ thousands, and I am now fainting and having sweats that make me want to puke. While I am telling Clay the story, it wasn't even about a minute since he entered the room, he all the sudden says STOP! TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG, i DONT WANT THE WHOLE STORY, I said sir, I would really appreciate that you don't talk to me like that, he says I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE, TELL ME THE STORY OR I AM LEAVING. THEN HE LEFT. my mouth was still open trying to tell me what is going on. Thats the end. I am going to not let this go. I promised myself that I would not let things go anymore. So good luck Clay. Had a great experience. My son has been having trouble with his skin and she got it cleared up very quickly. Also I had skin cancer years ago and have to be followed very closely and I always get a full body check and any moles that need removed are always taken care of. Great bedside manners!! read more

I went there the other day and saw Dr. Perdomo for the fractora. The staff help calmed my nervous before the procedure. I was also able to get Plasma object after the procedure. I will be back in a month for my next treatment. read more
