As a relative "newbie" in the online continuing education field, Leading Edge Legal Ed owes much of its success to DigitalChalk. Its LMS platform is well-structured, yet flexible enough to update courses 24/7. It insures instant, confidential payment processing and timely reporting to state licensing boards. Most importantly, it is easy for students to use. On the rare occasions when technical assistance is needed, DigitalChalk's support department is quick to respond--in language that I can understand. read more

History

Established in 2006.

DigitalChalk was formed in 2006 by co-founders Russ Stinehour (CEO) and Troy Tolle (CTO) in Asheville, NC to offer a cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), online training software platform and learning management system (LMS). In 2007 DigitalChalk opened a sales office in Atlanta, GA and a service and support office in Orlando, FL, and began servicing its first customers. DigitalChalk's initial focus was to serve the online continuing education market, but quickly recognized the growing need for corporate online training and expanded its business plan to include both markets. DigitalChalk rapidly grew to accommodate a worldwide customer base and has consistently doubled its revenue and customer base year-over-year since its founding. DigitalChalk continues to evolve its product to meet the demands of its customers and partners, as well as organizations which have specific standards and requirements for online training.

Meet the Business Owner: Russ S.

Russ Stinehour is a founding partner at ILS and was the CEO of CrossLogic for ten years. He led CrossLogic from 2 employees to 45, and grew revenues of $43 million for the company in its ten year history. He has over 30 years of software experience including 16 years of product management with IBM. Russ holds a BS in Systems Science from Michigan State University and an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill.
