But as someone who has had to make frequent, repeated attempts to contact other auto detailers in hopes of scheduling an appointment (and not hearing back from many of these business owners for several days - and sometimes weeks, if at all), I find that Les is quite remarkable indeed, by comparison. He is a dynamic, action-oriented, solid, reliable individual, and this is evident within the first 10 seconds of speaking with him. Scheduling an appointment was very straightforward and did not feel like the usual game of cat and mouse. He even offered to drive me to an errand that I had to take care of while in town before he got started with the detailing. Maybe it was a slower day and he happened to have the time, or maybe this is fairly standard practice. But even if it was a one off, it's something that no other detailing service anywhere that I know of has ever offered to me even once - including one on the east coast, where I've been a customer for years. (Too bad I can't fly Les out to the east coast when I'm there because he does a better job!) When the detailing was complete, Les did a run through of the car to show me what specifically he did, including a small area of the console that did not quite come out as he had expected. He explained that he had another option but wanted to run it by me first before using it, as it was a bit more abrasive. We ended up giving it a try and it made a very noticeable difference! Something else important to note: Car detailing services often dilute the products they use with water in order to cut costs - unbeknownst to the customer unfortunately. This ends up affecting the quality of the job since some of the products are applied to buffer and protect surfaces between details. Watered down products obviously don't hold up as well. Les uses full product concentration, and can speak knowledgeably about the products he uses and why. I drove an hour and a half from Telluride to have my car detailed and would do it again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for someone who actually cares about the quality of his work, business reputation, and you, the customer, don't even consider anyone else unless you like to waste time. My Tesla Model X looks practically brand new and I couldn't be happier. A thing worth doing is a thing worth doing well, and Les completely embodies this ethos. Wow!
