This business has been redone from top to bottom. I recommend the fast pass monthly wash that you can use as often as you like. The fast pass usually allows you to skip ahead of three or four cars waiting in the line to pay. Free vac and an excellent spot free rinse eliminate the time, potential scratching, and overall need for any kind of towel dry. The fast pass subscription gets you $20 off an interior auto spa detail, and one free hand wax. Ask about an upgrade and you can wait for your car to be detailed while you lounge or work at Starbucks. There is no other car wash like this within 60 miles. Great job people! read more

Don't go there. Paid for a month and they keep charging on your debit card without permission. No one told me and I did not sign anything. Will be sure to inform others if this fraudulent company. read more

Poor quality wash overall and the place is falling apart. The sprayers don't hit half the vehicle and the dryer doesn't get the job done. The walls in one automatic bay even have algae built up. $18 for the top wash and it doesn't do the job. The sprayer pillars are wobbly and appear to be falling apart. Not worth the money. read more

Bought a top tier monthly pass yesterday and drove through the car wash. Exited with the driver's side windshield wiper ripped off the vehicle so I alerted the attendant who went inside, retrieved the wiper only to find it was broken and could not be reattached. I was told to fill out a form, go buy a replacement and return for reimbursement, which I promptly did. I returned and am told the manager isn't available and to come back in 30 minutes. Ran another errand and received a voice mail from the manager telling me I would not be reimbursed for the damage. I then demanded a refund of the monthly pass. I was told the cost of the wash that damaged my vehicle would be deducted from the refund. So first my car gets damaged, then I get jerked off by the staff for the next hour. So basically I paid $29 (for the "wash") to have my car damaged and then another $30 for a replacement windshield wiper. I will NEVER, EVER return to this or any other Velocity car wash again. EVER. Their customer service is ABYSMAL. read more

After being assured the wash had new equipment that would not scratch my black truck (as happened two years ago!), I gave this place another try. The attendant even looked over the vehicle at the pay station and agreed there were no scratches. We took another look immediately after running through the wash, and now I've got scratches on the lower right rear quarter panel, it is obvious that the mud from the running board was carried back to that area and put micro scratches in the paint, yet they denied that they caused it and refused to take any responsibility. Not worth suing for, but I'll never use them again. Do NOT use if you have a black or very dark vehicle, or a great clear finish on a car you care about. read more

These are such good people. They actually help me out when I sucked my ring up in the vacuum that was underneath the seat they shut down the whole system for me to be able to find the ring that was in there, and they went beyond to make sure that I was OK the values of these guys are just unbelievable. I really appreciate their Business being here. They went overboard on trying to make sure everyone is happy it's clean and the friendly and they are funny you should enjoy actually cleaning your car. read more

I had to go through twice just get a meh kind of wash. Expensive for what you get. I bought a monthly pass so when I was speaking to the manager he pointed out again and again how I have unlimited washes so what am I complainin? but who wants to go through two to three times just to get you car clean. I don't live on a dirt road, I hadn't went four wheeling. My car wasn't very dirty to begin with. read more

Absolutely amazing! Tylind helped us figure out what kind of car wash we wanted and he gave us suckers! Our car is super clean, the free vacuums work really well, and they had a floor mat cleaner. I would make this my go to spot if I lived here. read more

Terrible service. A bunch of nothings walking around Car was not rinsed or dry after two times through. No manager to be found. Scratching heads."well sometimes that happens". We went thru the car wash 3x after purchasing the most expensive and supposedly the highest quality service. Our tires remain dirty and no polish. After the second wash we were offered Armour treatment that we could use ourselves. After the third time we asked for a refund. We were told no one on duty was authorized to give us a refund. Only the manager could give us a refund. We were told there was no phone number to reach him or a direct email - Only a website. The manager was called by a rationale employee. The manager refused to talk to me only my boyfriend even though I explained I paid for this - apparently sexist. He refused to give us a refund becuz most of the car is clean. I told him I am stopping payment. He had issue with my boyfriend saying "bullshit" when a snotty employee told us "that's the way it goes" when we he said no one on duty can issue refunds. He continued to get in my boyfriends face calling him a little man- boyfriend is Latino. I feel he was racist for the insults n making an issue over curse words. I feel he is sexist for refusing to talk to me when I am the one who paid. Definitely stopping payment. I would not recommend this place. Waste of money and unprofessional environment. read more

Do not sign up for the fast pass at velocity car wash in Montrose. I went online as instructed to modify my plan, and for two months they continued to bill me the highest price. Customer service is nonexistent, so I finally canceled my plan. Let me repeat, do not give them your credit card number, because it is a scam for them to continue to charge you even when you don't want the service. read more

I went to use the self serve wash today, and the coin machine ate my quarters, so I went to speak with I'm guessing the manager that sits in the dark little room by himself off to the side, and he just stared at me and said in a very rude obnoxious way, that he could not give me my money back, and what do I expect him to do about it. I told him I put $5 dollars in quarters, and it would not work. He said that sounds like a personal problem to me, and shut the door on me! He's an older man with weird hair that is balding and sticks up everywhere and wears glasses. I'm not sure how he got hired on there but management needs to figure out what to do with him. I know it's just a car wash but, that is HORRIBLE customer service. Shame on you, you grumpy man. read more

I purchased a monthly membership and everytime I go my truck nener gets clean. Last 3 times I have tried to use the car mat cleaner the water does not work. I asked the man standing outside handing out candy why is it not working and he said oh yeah we left the water on last night so it is frozen. I said can't you put a out of order sign on it..He said no only the manager can do that and pointed to the office. So i went in the office no one around anywhere!! I canceled my membership! Save your self time and money and never go here...oh yeah I also called and left a message and never call me! read more

I don't understand the negative reviews. This place is awesome and the people who work there have always been super friendly and helpful. Like out of their way happy and helpful. Not a fan. This car wash does not clean the car and it damages the car instead, scratches, dents the works! It needs a whole new system and man driers that actually dry your car would be nice to! Save your $20 and go elsewhere! Take 5 in Grand Junction is probably the best wash I've ever had! They should take into consideration what a good drive through wash and dry is from Take 5....sad there opening a new location in town before fixing this one. read more

Today was my first time to visit this car wash here on in Montrose, CO. I loved everything about it. It was conveniently right off the main road in town (Woodgate Rd.), easy-in, easy-out, only $6 for a basic wash (that's all I wanted after the snow we had yesterday), electronic payment machine worked well & quickly, there were 2 workers who thoroughly my car (Prius), none of the brushes, etc., scraped or damaged my car, it rinsed my car well at the end, and there were many free vacuums available on site. read more

Watch out for your bike rack! They said it wouldn't damage the rack and told us to proceed. The machine got caught up in the rack, destroyed it. I signed up for the one in GJ that opened, after a month I realized I wasn't going to be using it the way I thought. I went there to cancel and the guy who worked there told me I could get a refund because I had literally never used the service, he said his manger would be back shortly and would call me to make that happen. I never received a call. I have emailed, called and left messages, eventually when I called the mailbox was too full to leave a message and had stayed that way. It has been 8 months of this crap while they continue to charge me because it won't let me cancel online! Finally I called the Montrose location where I spoke to an assistant manager who was actually super kind and helpful, he tried to reach the GJ wash but couldn't get through (shocking ) he looked up my account and confirmed this has gone on for 8 months and I have NEVER used a single wash while paying. He told me he would be in touch with the Grand Junction location asap and get it all refunded. To my shock this assistant manager followed up the same night letting me know he left a message for the GJ manager and I should expect to hear the next day (today) here it is after 8pm and color me shocked, nothing, again. From what I can tell the Montrose assistant manager should manage in Grand Junction and MAYBE this car wash would actually follow through and stop charging me, then refund me for the last 8 months like I keep being told will happen. At this point I'm just going to start a dispute with my bank as well as reporting this business. Livid with how lame they are at the GJ location is a massive understatement! read more

If there were a minus 5 I would give that as a rating. We had signed up for monthly payment to be taken out of our bank account. A few months ago 3 payments in 1 month were taken out. I called, finally a few days later a manager called me back. She credited the amount and gave me 1 month 'free', and I told her not to take any money from our bank account any longer. I just found they had take. Payments again from my account, I called, they called me back, the young lady was rude and short with me, finally she cancelled the service payments, and I told her to have the manager call me back. She did call me back later, and told me she told me to call or go online to cancel the service after my Free month, but I had made it very clear not to ever take money from my bank again. She would not understand anything I said and laughed at me when I told her what I knew I had told her, she was very unprofessional and wouldn't refund the 2 months they took from my bank. They also had about half of the brushes working for months, but never let anyone know they were getting a lesser wash for full price! I would not do business with this company but give my money to a company that treats people with respect, and takes having customers bank information seriously! If you have given them your information for your bank, check your bank account in 2021 to see if they did the same thing to you. read more

This was a great value in an automatic car wash. I was met by a helpful staff member guiding me through the new technology he said they put in place about six months ago. Went with a basic wash which got off most dirt by left some more stubborn bugs on; typical of automated machines. Where I was really impressed was the free vacuum system with floor mat cleaners. Never seen a floor mat cleaner before and it worked Incredibly well. read more

Several months ago I purchased a monthly membership for each of the two vehicles that we own, for a total of $80 per month. I used the car wash for both vehicles several times a month and was satisfied with the service. One day in March, I took my truck in to get it washed. After going through the wash tunnel, I parked near the vacuums to clean out the interior. I took out my floor mats to clean them in one of the two automatic mat cleaners available. Neither of the machines were working, so I contacted one of the employees who told me that both of the machines were out of order. I asked if I could have one of the attendants, who was standing near the inside the entrance pre-spraying cars as they entered, spray my floor mats since the machines were inoperable. He said it was o.k. When I asked the guy, who was not spraying any cars at the time, f he would spray my mats, he said that he couldn't spray them. I asked why and his response was that he just didn't want to because he was busy. When I contacted the on site manager, he said he could not do anything about it. I later wrote a letter to the corporate office informing them of the incident, but never received an acknowledgement of receiving the letter. I moved the city of Montrose approximately 7 months prior to this incident, and every business I have patronized, and every person that I have met in Montrose, have been extremely nice, except for the people working in this business. Granted, $80 a month that I was paying for the service was not a big deal to this company, but over a years time, the amount would have been $960 a year. Obviously no big deal to the company. read more

Wow nice car wash. Free vacuums. To bad the help is rude and obnoxious. Went through the automatic wash today. The menu stated the 10.00 wash included tri foam wax. Didn't deliver. Brought this to the attention of the attendants on duty. Pete and Ervin. Both rudely informed me the wax did not come with the 10.00 They both argued with me for at least a minute before I asked them to walk with me to the menu so we could read it together. Not sure Pete can actually read. To busy puffing away behind the dumpster. Any hoo. Of course the sign says 10.00 wash includes tri foam wax. I was given a coupon for a free 12.00 wash next time. Appreciate it. Could do without the rude condescending Remarks. Especially when you are not up to date on your own policies and services I had an issue here about a year ago, before the ownership changed hands. Anyway same two guys. Had to find Pete puffing away behind the dumpster. Ervin became involved and as usual neither know what they are talking about. Do your homework gentlemen read more

Will not be back. The first time I came through the car wash and the service was great and I bought a $16 car wash for the rain guarantee. Well the same night I got the car washed my husband sprinklers soaked my car so I came back to see if they would let me run it through again since I paid $16 for the car wash and the chick at the entrance told me well that's not really rain so no. What horrible customer appreciation that is. I paid eight dollars just to get through the line since I was already in it. Not happy. read more

I just picked up my husband's 2006 truck and it looks and feels brand new. It is BEAUTIFUL!! They did an excellent job. I am so excited for him to see it. This truck has been used hard. He hauls around dirty dogs and stuff for work. They got the floors and seats perfect. It smells fantastic! They finished before I expected it and were as nice as could be. I can not say enough good about them. I will definately be back. Thank you everyone at Mine Shack! read more

This is the best full service car wash I've been to. They consistently have friendly employees and great customer service. They do an excellent full detail, the best in town. They have a fairly inexpensive "wash club" program to maintain your car between details and a great drive-thru wash with free vacuums if you are just passing through. The owners are engaged with their business and the community. Thankful to have this business in my town. read more
