I got back again to have his nails clipped it's €8,50 But if they need second technician to hold him down the price will double. Of course you can offer yourself to make it cheaper. The nail clipping did not go well. They were cutting it too short he was bleeding. I had to hold him down. I said stop when the third claw was clipped and blood was dripping. I don't think it was professional service. They do it much better in San Francisco

The previous time I came here to get the same exact things for my dog (plus a trim), the groomer took care of it and I was told to pick him up in 15 minutes. The cost was €34.75. When I went the most recent time, they took me and my dog to a exam room and I thought it was strange. The vet came in and starting cutting my dog's nails and made him bleed! She did that to THREE of his nails! She then used some hot iron thing (which I've never seen before, since it's usually the kwik stop styptic powder) to stop the bleeding. When I went to pay, they charged me €43.50, the price for an exam. I questioned the receptionist and she said I had to pay the full amount me we saw the vet. WTH. I was so confused. Then I explained that my dog has the same things done to him last time, if not more, and it was with the groomer. They refused to budge and insisted that I had to pay the full amount. Then one of the receptionists said, "Oh yeah, you called yesterday. Oh my bad, I thought you wanted to see the Vet. Next time clarify that you want to see a groomer." WTH. Why would I need to see a vet for something a groomer can do? My dog was perfectly healthy and fine. And if you had told me that I was going to see a vet I would've clarified. I paid anyway and left with my dog. In less than 5 minutes, I had to go back to the clinic because my dogs nails started to bleed again! This time the receptionist used the styptic powder to stop and bleeding and it worked right away. UGH, will never step foot in here ever again.

DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR DOG‼ We arrived for an…read moreappointment for a wash and trim and were told it would take 2 hours. 2.5 hours later we called them for an update and were told it would take another 1.5 hours because they mixed up their schedule. They had just put our puppy in the bath. Why could they not call us to inform us of the delay? And what did they do with our puppy for 2.5 hours? It was my 5 month old puppy's first time at a groomer so I wanted to check he was okay. Both he and the other dog in the store looked traumatised, so I said I will take him when he's dry. I didn't trust them to cut him. We waited outside, a few doors down from the shop. 10 mins later my puppy comes running from the store with his leash on and the lady chasing him. He ran out on the cycle lane(luckily a bike had just passed) and nearly ran out in front of a car. Thankfully a passerby acted fast and caught him. I witnessed the whole thing and ran to my puppy. He was very scared and crying. The lady from the store didn't even apologise. Don't trust these people with your dog. Had it not been for the stranger who acted fast, my puppy could have been killed.

The dog has bald patches and where there are patches of hair it's random and uneven. We asked for a short cut, even all over which this is not. We will not be returning. It seems there is wide variation in the skill levels in this place, if you do go make sure you get the same person - this is also difficult as appointments are sometimes cancelled at the last minute. If I want to buy something special for my puppy or some other furry friend I come here…read more Yes it is a pity that the owner sometimes has some attitude but I also laughed a lot with him and he shared a lot of knowledge with me. He is very helpful and I never feel that he wants to sell you more then necessary - I just got a puppy and I was really "what else could I buy, please tell me...?!" and he was like "trust me, you have everything, you don't need more" - and trust me, i would have bought everything he would have offered me. I take his attitude with a smile, behind that there is a very nice man that has a great shop with great stuff (also amazing for presents !) Love for pets and a lot of knowledge that he is always willing to share. I like it!

I didn't check the reviews earlier else I would have avoided the place. Glad I bought my first fishes from here! The owner was kind and friendly, and even threw in a fish scoop (net?) for free as he was out of new ones. He calmly suggested all the supplies I'd need for my first little aquarium. Yes, they're cash only for some reason, but luckily there's an ING cash machine just a minute away. I got to talk a lot with the owner and turns out that he's been running it for 25 years! That's a big inning in a competitive marketplace like Amsterdam. I have no idea if it's generally an expensive shop, but I ended up getting a lot of stuff for quite cheap. All in all, a wonderful experience. The house cat needs to go on a diet but loves attention. The only suggestion I have is for them to get with the times and start accepting debit cards.

To begin with, it took over 2.5 hours for my pup to be groomed (whereas, it took about 1 hour for an extremely thorough grooming at his previous groomer). Further, the grooming ended up being roughly 20 Euros more than stated on their website, for no apparent reason. I believe that I found fleas on my pup upon returning to our home from the trimsalon (I cannot confirm this 100% because we went on vacation a few days later, which complicated monitoring him). But, my biggest issue was that they trimmed his whiskers AND they trimmed them really short, which is a basic grooming no-no. As a result, my pup keeps having to come up really close to things and touch them with his snout (he never did this before) because his depth-perception is all off (due to the whisker trimming) :(

Sadly not all let shops carry this brand. The guy running this shop is friendly, and knows his stuff. They are primarily focussed on food, but that's actually good, lots of choice!

The owner is really helpful, he always answers my questions and gives advice when needed (like how to get rid of fleas in my flat that one terrible summer). The shop is packed with all kinds of pet supplies, floor to ceiling!
