I was given a much lower quote that what I was currently paying, so I made the decision to switch to State Farm. I made sure to ask Josh if the transition could be made without any interruptions in coverage as in, no lapse of coverage as I transferred from my current insurance company and coverage over to State Farm's coverage. Josh assured me that there would be no lapse in my coverage during this insurance change-over and that I'd be covered without ANY lapse of insurance coverage. So I went ahead with the change and switched from Farmers to State Farm. About a month later I get some letter from State Farm telling me that they're dropping me! I can't believe this, so I call good old Josh...only to be told that State Farm NEVER intended to drop me but that my rates were going UP because I scored a 3 because I was searching for better (cheaper) insurance. Since when are you the customer penalized for searching for cheaper rates?! So my rates went up about 15.00 a month, but that was better than being dropped, right? So...about a month later I get a call from dear little Josh...guess what? He informs me that when he figured up my rates a few months before, he was off, I asked how off? And he said way off and we repeated that a couple times when I finally insisted he tell me and when he told me that my rates were going to DOUBLE I lost it and told him that I would find insurance elsewhere. Josh said he didn't blame me, that he wouldn't pay that amount either. Well when I went to another insurance agency I found out why my rates went up so high...Dear sweet Josh allowed my insurance to lapse a few months earlier when I switched over from Farmers to State Farm! I couldn't get a hold of Lonnie Keys...seems my calls weren't getting past Dear old Josh, I guess. Im not the only person this has happened to, it happened to my neighbor as well. State Farm is great? Maybe another agent would be....
