Once we got inside and found a good vantage point, I could have stayed all day. What could be more fun than watching people rush to get on a platform that then spins them off into a wall. The last one left wins but if they are too good, the staff will throw medicine balls at them or try to snare them with ropes to dislodge them. Coming from the US where everyone sues everyone, it was crazy to see no waivers, not much in the way of safety... Anyway, I can't think of anything more fun than watching a pile of 8 year olds get spin off into a wall while the DJ blasts "Macarena".

When it's freezing…read moreoutside (literally), we don't want to stroll the Marienplatz or sit in a biergarten with a 3 and 1 year old. So I have been scouring the internet trying to find fun things to do with children here. The Children and Youth Museum was a fun place to check out this weekend. It's located in a train station and is probably best for 6+ year olds although our 3 year old had fun exploring the "Jungle" exhibit. Under 6 is free and 6 yrs old + is 4.50 euros. It seems as though they only have 1 exhibit for almost an entire year so it would be good once but not again until it changes because it's pretty small. I wouldn't come here if I was just visiting but if you live here, it's a fun & educational afternoon for families. There isn't a cafe but they have tables and chairs if you want to bring your own snack. They also have different events so I would monitor their calendar. Jane Goodall actually came by for an afternoon and that would have been amazing to see if we had known about it!

Evidently my son was the playing some place not appropriate. I fully understand correcting where it not appropriate - but to dig into a 10 year and continue with the insults even in front of me was just so beyond out of line especially for a place dealing with kids. When I pointed out that she went way over line with my son she smiled and pointed where the door was. Evidently this woman is the manager and I find it to be a joke! Yes, I will be choosing one of the other 10 indoor playgrounds in this area solely based on this - and a few other "service related incidents" since I've come here.

And it's crowded. Very crowded. Good luck finding a seat somewhere on a sunny weekend. But this is not the reason for the capping then of 2 stars (EDIT: now 4 stars). The playing ground is just unsafe for kids. The toys and the things the kids can and should play with demand that the parents watch their kids at all times. Literally every time I spend time there a kid hurts itself, either falling down the haystacks or the play house breaking their fingers or arms. Maybe I just caught bad timing, but you should keep an eye on your kids there. Other than that, it's a great place to spend your day and the kids love it there. EDIT: I re-reviewed this place and think a 3 star review is too unfair. The totally deserve 5 stars for it being a great great place for kids and families. Not many places are this child friendly and gather just for families. I will rate 5 stars when and if they fix their playgrounds professionally, especially that play house where kids hurt their fingers on a daily basis.
