Often at chain bakeries the spinach filling is overly salty or simply doesn't taste like spinach. The spinach in the strudel is pureed but manages to be just the right texture to match the flaky crust. The simit is not the best that I've had in the neighborhood but it is the cheapest that I've found so far (~50 cents). I would hesitate to give this place more stars because the counter woman is always antagonistic towards me. Once she seemed to have derived pleasure from telling me that they did not have any sesame rings. Clearly the quality is good enough, the prices are low enough, and the location is close enough that I deal with the service, since I come here at least once a week.
