Ample space inside the barn for a party over 100. Our son had a wedding there in Sept. Kitchen is a little tight & the oven wasn't cleaned so we had a temporary smoke issue upon firing it up. Two fridges. But overall the venue was perfect and spacious with a unique setting that made us happy to have our kids experience the perfect wedding. If you're creative- you'll love it. They also had lots of decor and amenities to spruce up the interior. Separate changing room inside. Owners are very friendly and responsive. Please respect them and don't abuse the property if you select it. Logistics can be challenging if you're not a Castle Rock or other local. But it's doable and we proved that. We found a mobile bartender; Castle Rock restaurant cater it - and were able to find a DJ and a pastor willing to accommodate us. If you're worried about weather - you can make it work. I've been to ArtHouse Mosaic Studio twice -…read more 1) to learn mosaic skills under Nancy's tutelage 2) as the sign language interpreter for a group of 6 deaf women, with Malika as their instructor. Both times, I was impressed with how relaxing it is to be around these women, something I feel certain is of benefit to those attempting the creative process. The way that Malika handled the 7 of us! - with multiple conversations going on simultaneously, arms flying everywhere - was spectacular. She was focused, patient, and gave flawless design suggestions for those who asked for them. One of the women took a really long time to decide what her project would be, changing her mind several times. This, and the fact that the women had to stop their work every time they spoke to the instructor or to one of their friends - caused our class to go quite a bit overtime. Again, Malika was graciousness incarnate. I've heard wonderful things about the 3rd business partner, Sherri. I'm sure she's a delight, as well. Next time you're looking to give an unusual gift or would like to exercise your creativity, give them a call!

I have also taken the Chocolate making class here, which is offered in February, and it is amazing . . . I am pretty sure they are losing money, with the amount of gourmet chocolate they send you home with. Not sure that I could do it on my own after this class as she has a lot of expensive looking equipment and gourmet chocolate melts, but I did not give away all of my chocolates . . . not even close. She was both informative and laid back, letting people gravitate to whichever stations drew their interest, such as caramels, etc. It was a fun class to take with people I knew as a ladies night, and they provided beverages included in the very reasonable registration cost. Overall a wonderful way to add something interesting and different to look forward to, I am shocked that way more people don't know about these offerings already!
