I am writing this review hesitantly because although my first encounter with this bakery went well,…read moreother reviews talk about mice running around the pastries. But until I see the same, I will disregard those claims.
During a 15 minute break from class on a Saturday, I jogged over from ESIEE for some coffee and pastries for breakfast. There was a line to the door but I decided to wait it out.
It moved slowly but I was able to get everything I wanted and get back too class with a few minutes to spare.
For under 10€ I was able to get a double espresso, palmier, Kouign-amann, croissant, and a sacristain. Holy crap! They were all amazing. As good as the best I've ever had in the heart of Paris and at half the cost. The combination of flakey, crunchy, gooey, sticky, buttery, and sweet for all of them was perfect.
If you're walking by and the line isn't long, this is worth a stop.
