Being from NYC, we didn't know much about the Poconos and Stroudsburg. After some deep, and I am talking DEEP, Google, Knot, Yelp stalking, we kept coming back to these photos taken at our venue of choice by Elle Studios. We stalked her website, Instagram and Facebook and we knew we had to have her. We set up a FaceTime call and knew we made the right choice. Fast forward to September for our engagement photos, Emily made it incredibly easy by picking a beautiful spot in Wind Gap, and walking us through the entire shoot. We felt so comfortable and grateful to have a connection with her; we knew she was there with us but also didn't feel like she was there. Neither of us have previously taken part in any professional photo shoots so we were worried we would feel awkward and uncomfortable, but that was not the case. We couldn't believe how beautiful our engagement photos were and we spent the next 13 months so excited for our wedding. Emily sends a document for you to fill out to ensure you get photos with everyone you need to, keep you organized, and on schedule so you can enjoy all the elements of your day. Emily came up and helped me get dressed -- no like HELPED me into my Spanx get dressed -- alongside my sister/MOH. Emily is so patient and kind. She will laugh with you, cry with you, help you, recommend amazing vendors to you, and capture moments to help you never forget your day. My husband and I are so grateful for Emily, her dedication to her work, and her passion for her work. Our friends and family are blown away by the photos she has shared with us already. I have always loved Emily's work, so when a Mommy & Me mini shoot collided with pretty close to my daughter's 6 month birthday, I jumped at the chance to experience her work! Our photos were beautiful...the space was exactly as I pictured it, and her client closet (including wee vintage baby rompers) were perfection. Her recommendation for Trina at Parlor Hair & Makeup Studio was icing on the cake for the gorgeous shots I got to choose from as part of my package. I loved them so much that I bought a few extra files on top of what was included. Money beyond well spent to remember these moments with my wee one.

The quality is consistently poor, and the process forces parents to pre-pay before even seeing the photos, leaving us stuck with disappointing results year after year. The photographers clearly lack portrait training -- the lighting, angles, and expressions are all off. No amount of retakes can fix the lack of professionalism or care. These are supposed to be cherished memories, and instead, they're just frustrating reminders of a missed opportunity. If you're considering using this service -- don't. You'll get better results with your iPhone and a little natural light. Save your money and your child's memories.

Christmas City took school pictures for an elementary student. A check was submitted at the time…read moreof the shoot. A few days later, Christmas City called me saying the check was not signed. At her suggestion, I paid by credit card over the phone. The credit card was charged $5.30 more than the check was written for. On 11/18/2025, I received the uncashed check in the mail from Christmas City. The check was absolutely signed when it was returned to me, showing it was signed when it was submitted for payment. Today, 11/19/2025, I called Christmas City back to inquire why the credit card payment was more than the check. "Samantha" claimed it was for shipping fees, which was not stated anywhere on their paperwork. I also told her the returned check was absolutely signed when Christmas City returned it to me. Samantha insisted it was not and stopped short of actually calling me a liar. They are dishonest and over charging people. Horrible customer service.
