Newly opened shop as part of the Dicksons Pork Butchers chain.
As you'd expect, the shop has the same store branding and is clean and bright. The hot food counter offers a range of hot filling sandwiches, carton meals such as sausage, beans and chips, coffee, belly pork joints, saveloys, etc.
The cold sandwiches are on a display counter and the range is limited due to a distinct lack of space. That said, they have made the best use of the small store space given.
A raw meat counter takes up the right hand wall offering mince, bacon, etc and was just as busy as the hot counter.
This Dicksons has opened a mere 2 doors down from the long established Greggs and it was evident by the lack of patrons in what is usually a busy Greggs (see my other review of greggs!) that they have already grabbed the lions share of the trade. It will be interesting to see how this pans out over the next few months as the novelty of the new store wears off and things settle down to either healthy competition, symbiosis or outright war! read more
