I only gave one star because I had to get something I would get zero of the option was there. Just had the absolute worst experience. I needed help finding something in the fishing department because the shelf was empty. I finally found someone who then called for an employee to help . Five minutes later they still weren't there so she called someone again. In the meantime, I found another employee in the store and asked if they could help me. He looked right at me, shook said nope and walked away. I went back to the same employee. I had spoken her no one still come so we went up to the front. A young boy working at the cash register said he was going to look upstairs to see if they in stock. 10 minutes not come the meantime, I found something else and went to the cash register where he was standing chatting with his buddy. The absolute worst customer service in this location. From employees that literally refuse to help you to employees that pretend they're helping you, but really or not. Bought the "No Sweat," bat warranty (2 year) on June 12, 2023. The bat broke on June 14, 2024. Took it to the store and was told by the cashier that the policy changed a few months ago and you have to deal with Asurion directly now...I said what happened to "Let us handle replacements and repairs?" They basically said too bad. I insisted they file the claim for me. Glad I did...They first filed it wrong and said it was accidental damage and it was instantly denied. Then after an hour of what I thought was fixing that they filed another claim. But in the end they stopped at submitting anything else for me. You have to work with Asurion I was told. So all weekend I'm getting email and text messages requesting photos (which I sent over and over again). Come to find out today (Monday) after all these photos and "service claims" they requested, Dicks had 3 of the same claims open... So then the one person at Asurion trying to help me said he consolidated all the claims and I only needed one more photo of the front of the bat. Blahah! I get another email saying they need two more. Asurion and Dicks don't have a clue about how to help a warranty claim. Asurion does nothing but try to wear you down until you give up, and quit trying. The store Managers use them as an excuse to not honor anything and the warranty is snake oil that won't help you. Don't bother!!! Dicks is a confused child in the world of baseball gear. Don't waste your time with them. Still working on trying to get them everything "they need," to ignore and deny the claim. I'm not giving up. I'll push this to the lawyers next. I'm sick of their crappy service and joke of a warranty, over pricing everything, unable to ship anything right, not knowing what's in stock bull doo doo. Go somewhere else for baseball gear. Went to a different outdoor place first and couldn't find what we we're looking for. Finally came to Dicks and found good beach chairs and a wagon w big round sand wheels. Just what we wanted but the best part, by far was the service. The young man that helped us with the chairs the took us to the carts was awesome. He answered all the questions and more. He knew the info and the store well. Then the check out. Older gentleman they was so kind, and helpful he was able to quickly help us but at the same time give the best customer service. Those qualities of the two workers is what makes a person loyal to a certain store. We will definitely try Ducks first next time!!! read more

My family and I stopped in here last night. we had never heard of this restaurant and had no idea what to expect. we were just hungry. Brittany was our server and omg what a fun time. we went with 3 teens who ready to go back to the hotel until we were seated. what a fun place. The store is filled with almost anything related to sports from shoes, clothing, camping and golf and a little bit of everything in between. Sign up for their Score Card Rewards Program and they will fill your mail with offers weekly. The stores seems to be staffed with friendly employees who go the extra mile to ensure you find what you need and are all ways willing to order what they may not have in stock with free shipping. I purchased a pair of FJ golf shoes on line from Dicks for $79.99. Upon opening the inner box, I noticed that the shoe box was missing the lid and the shoe laces had been twisted and retied also the box was "beat up". I started a chat with Dick's. These shoes had obviously been used to some degree. Ultimately I was given a $15 credit back to my CC. Upon breaking down the FJ box for the recycling bin, I noticed that the price tag on the box was $18.02 less that what I was originally charged. Pretty deceptive. I bought into the hype surrounding Dick's in Daytona, and was spectacularly disappointed. I went in to purchase a US soccer jersey in a women's medium, and I wasn't greeted by a single staff member. Trying to find someone to assist me was not only annoying but frustrating. When I went to the check out counter to seek assistance, the gentleman who looked like a manager seemed annoyed that I arrived empty handed. Upon inquiring about the availability of the USMNT World Cup shirts, he flatly said, "what we have on the floor is all we have." There was absolutely no effort to call to the back or verify the inventory. Even though the Dick's website noted the item was in stock, there was no offer to contact another store in their system to see if they had one in my size on hand. Nothing. I picked up one of the ladies' jerseys closest to my own size and went to the dressing room. When a place wants $90 +tax for an item, but can't be bothered to do their jobs, I'd sooner return the item to its place and walk out which is precisely what I did. I rang the button for assistance in the women's fitting room and a lovely female associate dropped by to check on me. She was quick, polite, and helpful, but my shopping experience was already soiled by the sourness of the other gentleman. Had I not rang the assistance button, my patronage would have gone unnoticed, and by the reaction of the majority of the staff, that didn't seem to bother them in the least. Based on this visit alone the only reason they got 1 star is because 0 wasn't an option. From the time I hit the bicycle dept and was treated like I was an imposition by an employee who finally offered to help to the time I was checking out...... From him I never received a thanks, kiss my ass or anything else. Again I was treated like I was keeping him from doing something else and after he tossed my bag toward me and I said gee THANK YOU he replied with "yep". HUGE WOMENS ATHLETIC WEAR CLEARANCE(June 23 2016)! I had to get that out of the way!! 4.5 stars and no that's not because of the clearance lol. This is my favorite location I've ever been too for the overall experience and I've been too a lot! I've bought and returned all sorts of stuff from here with little to no issue! I admit I'm addicted to running/gym gear so anything attached to that,I own it lol. Ok it's not that serious but it's almost true. There's always plenty of staff,pretty well kept up and I LOVE their selection of athletic wear and fishing gear! Although I gotta ask: Why is it harder to find full leggings with print but there's printed capris everywhere you look?!! Someone has to know that answer lol!! I was talking to 2 other girl shoppers,another girl employee and none of us could figure it out?! Also as much as I love Under Armor,I have to admit Women's Nike has not only a better print selection overall but has more of it to offer! To be honest ..even Reebok with their meager selection does well in this department.STEP IT UP UA!! I don't like mix matching brands so I'm out of luck lol. Ok ok back to the store! It has all your normal stocked stuff like any other location. It's in a plaza with Michaels,Staples,Bed Bath & Beyond,Old Navy,Rack Room Shoes & Men's Warehouse to name a few! This afternoon I went to Dick's to get my golf clubs regripped. We went over to golf services dept where we were treated very rudely by an older gentlemen who gave snarky answers to all of my questions. He was condescending and unwilling to show me the grips and explain the differences in them all. Obviously, I am not knowledgeable when it comes to the various types of grips and needed some advice. Bought a treadmill. Delivered a week later. Problems with set-up, failed to work on first attempt. Delivery technician got it working. FAILED 3 days later. ZERO service on complaint. Duh, It SHOULD work after just a couple days. We got the supreme run-around from both the store and their technical delivery service. Poor information, no call-backs, no courtesy. We disputed the credit-card payment. Finally we contacted the manufacturer. A company technician finally came and replaced a defective switch. Dick's gets a negative 10 on service!
