This place has changed from where it use to be a small 2 room shack. Plenty of books and even computers.

This public library is great if you're around NASA and need a place to lounge. It's not immediately…read moreoff I-45 so it can be easily missed among the car-centric chaos and stores with big signs. I was in the area with 2 hours to spare before my next activity, but wasn't in a spending mood so I stopped by. There's always plenty of comfortable chairs, wooden tables, and public computers open for use. The workers are always polite and helpful if you need to use a computer or reserve a room. I've also used this place several times in the past several years to get some studying done. I've never had issues. There are 2 private rooms on the 2nd floor with a customizable air blower in each room. It functions well as both ventilation and white noise. You face a window to the front entrance which is great for letting sunlight in. However, the room is quite small so it's not ideal for claustrophobic people. I forgot to take a picture but this place has a children's only area as well. The windows are decorated with creative memes and other drawings that add to its kid-friendliness. Looks like a great place to bring your kid here. I've seen more impressive libraries around Houston but this one is by no means bad. It's nice to see libraries still alive and well in this environment. Check it out if you're nearby!

Such a great library and great people. They are open late on the weekdays too. I think until 9pm…read more It's so much cleaner than other libraries around Houston which I highly appreciate.

Decided on a whim to apply for a library card within the Brazoria County Library system. Well…read moreactually, maybe it wasn't on a whim. I needed to locate a book for a discussion (professionally related) and the Pearland Library was the only location to have it. So shout out to the Brazoria County Library system! Thanks! I've visited this location once to pickup my library hold. I explored for a short period of time but not for very long. I was able to grab my hold off the shelf with ease and get it checked out with the library staff member. Kudos to them because I didn't have my physical library card with me. I chose to give them a call first to ensure not having my physical card wouldn't be a problem. Staff members were nice and helpful. This location is spacious. When I'm in the area, I'll definitely return. Oh something else to note - a huge green flag (!!) for this library system is that you can apply for the library card online and they will send your card to you in the mail. Talk about accessibility, am I right?

The library isn't overly large nor is it super tiny; it seems as it's just right to some. There…read moreisn't enough tables located in quiet areas. The children's section wasn't completely separated from the adult section as I could hear rambunctious kids talking oh so loudly and playing as if they don't understand the concept of silence. It does seem like the selection of audiobooks and DVDs is far greater than what Parker Williams and Freeman library has combined. Though, this isn't a Harris county library branch. I'm not sure if that's the reason why they don't have wifi for guests. The staff wasn't very welcoming as when I walked in I wasn't greeted, just stared at like I was an alien from outer space. However, one of the shelving assistant that had a Irish accent or British accent was polite and showed that she was friendly. They have early voting going on now in a separate room. There aren't any tile floors just carpet and no bad odor inside. Also, the parking wasn't limited meaning there is lots of spots available. It's pretty convenient to find, if you're traveling from Green Tee just drive straight onto Liberty Dr., it's on the right side across from City Hall. Just off of 518, right before you get to the episcopal church.

This little gem of a book store was a super fun find. The sweet lady who owns it will greet you…read morefrom behind the counter as you walk in. You'll immediately see shelves of older, vintage style books. If you love history, natural sciences, Texas, art, etc, this shop is especially for you. While I personally would've loved to have seen more in the fiction and literature areas (it's admittedly not their specialty), there is definitely something for everyone. From rare collectibles, to bargain priced paperbacks, this shop is a quiet, fun stop worth giving yourself some extra time to browse all the shelves. And that old book smell just can't be beat! No candles in this store. Its authentic! Check it out. Shop local. Enjoy the charm and smile of the proprietor. In an Amazon Prime society, this shop invites you to slow down and remember that people are what make magical places like this truly magical.

So I was driving in League City looking for a book store and came across this one. First thing I…read moresaw was many international and diversity flags, but I did not see even one American flag. I called the place and asked the lady why she did not have an AMERICAN flag amongst the other flags. The response I received was that they only fly the American flag during holidays. The other flags are kept up all year, but not the flag from this great country we live in! I was highly disturbed by this lack of patriotism which was being replaced by the flags you see. I will never step one foot into this store.
