For the repair of an Everlane pair of leather boots I purchased in 2021, it was $60 for the replacement of the heel and the replacement of the sole (it was so torn up) with a waterproof new sole. I was expecting the sole to look better but not perfect, and for the waterproof sole to look rubbery or more bulky, which I was totally okay with. Instead, the shoes came back looking STUNNING. Not only did the entire shoe look brand new (he shined and cleaned them for me, even though that was not technically included in what I paid for), but the soles were so fancy! The waterproof sole was so well done, it fit in with the look of the shoe so well, and they have been working perfectly (sturdy and in fact, waterproof). I also brought with me a pair of knee high boots that I thrifted-- the soles were entirely ripped off and the bottom of the shoes looked like an absolute mess. He replaced the soles and they looked perfect and I've been wearing them non-stop! Overall, I am really pleased with service, and the shop owner was really friendly and helpful as well. I will be back with future shoe needs.

But then, unless you are a self-righteous i-banker drawing manna from the masses, you are looking to have your shoes repaired rather than replaced. And Minas is arguably the best place to get that done. Minas is a friendly man who has the same approach to every pair--he arches his eyebrows, inspects the shoes with a loving gaze and proclaims that, notwithstanding the scuff marks or worn out soles, the shoes are repairable and will be almost 'good as new' once he is done with them. He delivers on his promises to a large extent, and would even have your shoes delivered to you if you live or work in the neighborhood. But be reasonable in your expectations and remember that 'Minas Shoe = No Messiah'. On that anagrammatic note, I wish you luck in getting your penny loafers, hightops, moccasins, cleats and clogs treated by Minas and his friendly crew.
