I now have a name, date, time and they have nothing. Remember Dupixent and this company who will provide the Eucrisa to me at no cost due to disability. Now I gave the nurse the renewal form and they made a copy of my proof of income. I have been there twice and does anyone bother to call these 2 companies to see why they are not getting it. I have all the details including a fax number. I was told by Juliana that they are to fax all info and I am to call only 2 days later as that's all the time it takes. Dupixent and Eucrisa, the company who makes it said they have not received anything and this one guy who called me said I am calling Dr Luna's office as soon as he hangs up with me. Did I tell you I have been on steroids 3 times and this is a huge no no because of my depression and Dr Luna knows this so why not do your job, call these companies and see what to do because I have done all I can. Do I care if this makes them mad, no because I am sick of this mess and if I could do anything else with reviews I will. Last time I looked I pay those copays. I am furious but my poor ole 80 yr old Mom is going to talk to I think the mgr because she has seen me day in and day night suffering to lords knows the degree I have had it. I sure hope these made o copy and scanned to my account because I don't have the copies as I gave them all to Allergy Partner's and I saw the receptionist copy it. What would be nice is an apology and then can we get this stuff sent, I have all the information now from Dupixent. If people get and are mad, I could care less as they should have thought long and hard on how I have been brushed aside, yes, brushed aside is how I feel. If they treat me better and get this mess done then the review can be discarded.

After several weeks I finally got in contact with them again - a gentleman named Srini - and was told I had an outstanding balance of almost $200, which I had never been notified of. After explaining I had no knowledge of this, but would be willing to pay, I was told they would take me to court. After attempting to call several times after, my partner was finally able to get through (they wouldn't answer from my number). They informed her that they had the wrong address on file (but had our phone number and email, just never used it). After the payment was completed my partner confirmed we would not "be seeing them in court" as they had threatened. Srini proceeded to tell my partner that I was a child and needed to grow up. He also informed my partner that he had "been doing this for a long time and isn't worried" that we were upset. He proceeded to tell my partner that I was childish and in the wrong (I understandably had gotten upset after being told we were going to court or collections over an amount I was trying to pay). Don't waste your money here. They simply want money and have no concept of customer service.

I expressed concerns to her primary doctor who referred us to Cape Fear Valley ENT. When I called to setup the appointment, I explained my daughter has never had hay fever, asthma, or any other ENT related reactions. I felt this was the wrong doctor for her to see. My concerns were pacified with the explanation that this particular ENT office does allergy testing. Our first appointment went smoothly and I left feeling confident we would figure out what was causing my daughter's issues. Looking back on the appointment, I feel I was too naive and trusting. During our initial appointment, I expressed my concerns regarding my daughters reactions: hives/eczema. I disclosed my belief these reactions were due to either Tylenol (which she had taken for a headache the day of her most prolific reaction which lasted over a month) or to chemicals she was exposed to outside of my home. Since I have so many allergies, my home is as allergen free as possible. However, my daughter had spent time with relatives both times she broke out in full body hives. I further explained my daughter has never had reactions to food or ever experienced sinus issues. Dr. Jennifer Tartaglia said she didn't think my daughter would have such prevalent skin reactions without there being an allergen at fault, but told me there wasn't a test for Tylenol available. She told me my daughter would need a full round of testing and have all other possibilities excluded before it could be determined if Tylenol was the culprit. I agreed to two rounds of testing - a blood test for food allergies and a scratch test for environmental allergens. I agreed to this, because I believed there wasn't an available Tylenol allergy test. Over the next two weeks, my daughter had her blood drawn and then sat through a 2 hour scratch test that included over 40 needle injections. My 11 year old silently wiped tears away during the last 15 or so shots. It was awful. As I expected, she had a couple very mild reactions -- nothing that would explain the head to toe hives she has experienced. Yesterday, during our follow up appointment, is when I realized I had put my child through torture for absolutely no reason. Dr. Tartaglia entered the room, glanced over the results, shared them with me, and said: hives can be caused by any variety of things that have nothing to do with allergies. It was the very antithesis of what she stated during our first appointment. I asked her if my child wouldn't need the chemical testing and medicine testing, so it could be determined if Tylenol had been the reason for her outbreaks. At this point the doctor told me her office doesn't do patch testing or medicine allergy testing, so she would have to refer us out. She seemed reluctant to give the referral, but gave it anyway. She referred us to UNC. When I asked why she was referring us to an allergist so far away, I was told there were no allergists in town who offer the panels my daughter would need. Before leaving the room the doctor made the offhand comment that Tylenol testing may be available at UNC. Her comment ate away at me the whole way home. When I arrived home after the appointment I decided to do a little research. A simple search for "Tylenol allergy testing" on Google has the top result: "Acetaminophen anaphylaxis diagnosed by skin prick test" published 2016. A little further research and I discovered an allergy test for paracetamol = Tylenol. I was disgusted. I've never had a doctor lie to be before... or at least, I've never caught one lying to me before. If there's a test, it means my daughter went through blood tests and injections for NO reason whatsoever other than this doctor was padding her bills OR she used my daughter's case as a teaching tool for her interns. Either way, t's unacceptable and I have full intentions on reporting this incident as I'm pretty sure it's either unethical or illegal. My research didn't end with allergy tests on Tylenol, I took it a step further and looked for local allergists. Lo and behold, there's a local allergy office and they accept our insurance. They do full panel testing, including testing for Tylenol. This means Dr. Jennifer Tartaglia lied to me not once, but at least three times over the course of two appointments! I have called Cape Fear Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat to report my experience to the office manager. He kindly had the referrals from Dr. Tartaglia redirected to the local allergist and dermatologist offices. I will need to look into making further reports against Dr. Tartaglia for needless testing and lying to a patient. In the meantime, I am urging anyone who is referred to Cape Fear Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat for allergy testing to call your primary doctor and ask them to route you to a TRUE allergist. Save yourself and your child the unnecessary tears.
