How is this casino, does it have hotel?

Hey Douglas, thanks for asking. We are more of a mini-casino, where you can play, drink, and snack, minus the accommodations. Not all casinos have hotels, but you are welcome to check out Diamond's in Decatur to see how we definitely live up to the… Read more

What a gorgeous old theater that has been brought back to life by owners who have poured love and a…read moreton of money into it. The sound and lights are top notch and the performers they bring in are top tier. It's awesome to see shows like Jefferson Starship, Quiet Riot, Ace Frehley, Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters and Chelcie Lynn at this venue . These notable acts all come simply to be a part of the stage legacy of The Lincoln.

The Lincoln Square Theater was built in 1916 on top of the remnants of a hotel that had burned down…read morein the exact spot. People say this theater is haunted by the ghosts of the people who died in that fire. We talked to one of the girls who works there and she told us a couple stories of things that have happened to her that make her believe this place is definitely haunted. There is a Haunted Decatur Tour that you can pay $40 to partake in, you get on a bus and drive all over the city and visit all the haunted spots. We lucked out, the tour had just arrived at the theater when we got out of dinner next door, and my friend was able to convince the tour guide to let us join in (for free!) for the Lincoln Theater part, since we were from out of town, would never be back, and wouldn't have time to take the whole tour. He was nice enough to let us. We probably only spent 15 minutes inside the theater, half of the time we stood on stage while he told us the history of all the people who had once performed here, from Houdini to the Marx Brothers to Bob Hope. The other half of the time we went backstage and looked at the famous spiral staircase that is supposed to be haunted. The tour guide had a few stories of his own about things he had experienced on the staircase. Do I think it's haunted? Who knows, I didn't experience anything, but it's cool to have visited, as this place regularly appears on lists of the most haunted places in the US.

This tour is a true haunted nightmare of epic proportions. We signed up for this Ghost Hunting Tour…read morein August. We drove downtown to a preset parking lot set up by the haunted tour company. Excitedly waiting we were met with a Special Ed short yellow school bus. Yikes!!!!! The tour was sold out, so we were quickly corralled into the bus of the foggy windows. The tour was full of ambiguous, short, loosely based 2nd-grade ghost stories. The tour guy was nervous and had the storytelling abilities of Barney Fife from The Andy Griffith Show. Basically, they drive you around, occasionally stop, lead you out to an underdeveloped grass parking lot and tell you another Native American burial graveyard story. Okay Tangina Barrons, "step into the light Carol Anne! My God, is that the reason for every haunting?" So very unimaginative storytelling, basically there is no ghost hunting. This tour is nothing more than a ghost storytelling tour. They pull you up to some historical house and tell you some supernatural anonymous character story. No actual ghost hunting just a couple of stops at some empty fields and one graveyard short walk with snorefest stories of kindergarten proportion. The cemetery was Greenwood Cemetery, and it was quite interesting. I wanted to explore and see inside buildings such as the Lincoln Theater etc. The most horrifying factual truth of the entire 4-hour tour is NO bathroom breaks! Not one bathroom break. So you better come to the ghost storytelling tour extremely dehydrated, I mean your bladder better be dead and haunting some bathroom somewhere because you are not allowed to pee-anywhere!!!!!!! That is the most frightful part of this tour. Will not be back or ever recommend this story telling tour, Too bad we were really looking forward to this excursion. = (
