They found a cancellation quickly and I was in. Of course the day comes and the issue is no longer presenting itself, however Dr. Anderson was great about it. She went about checking my scalp to be sure there were no other issues I or my PCP was unaware of. She also said that now that I'm in and no longer a new patient if I need to be seen or communicate it'll be simpler. Everyone in the office was very nice and vigilant as to what the issue may be if it's something that needed to be treated further or if I was handling it fine. I recommend them for sure if you're having any issues. At least Dr. Anderson for sure.

I was referred to the main Penn State mohs office after testing positive for basal cell carcinoma on my face, after a couple more weeks of waiting for a response I received a call from this Camp Hill office telling me that my surgery was scheduled for almost 6 months later and was given no other options for an earlier time other than calling every day and asking about cancellations- there was no cancellation list I was told of, the reception person just said that a lot of it was probably removed during the biopsy. What?! After my wife took over and checked with her own primary care doc along with the the main office of Penn St mohs and our insurer, she was able to get me scheduled with Dr. Cartee at Penn State Hershey. He was great and would recommend him, but only after an extremely stressful situation for someone who had cancer for the first time. I now see a dermatologist MD at Dermatology Associates of York, they have an office in Mechanicsburg and they're great. Highly recommend them.

By Dr.Lam n Dr.Green ,thought it would be simple procedure. They did what was needed n I was to see a plastic surgeon for the official closing. But he was called in to the OR in an emergency. Now what ? I had gone home in the meantime ,as I had the start of a bad headache n needed to eat, that's when I got a call from Mohs, saying I should come back and they would close my open wound, not thinking much if it I did. That's when my night mare began as I sat in a chair for approx 3 hrs in sheer pain as my nose was litterly carved in my opinion ,as I was constantly injected with numbing meds n I ended up shivering uncontrollably from it. They stated it was a reaction, not because I was cold. I prayed to get out of that chair ,at the end I mentioned to them ," just because I am 68 doesn't mean I have no pride in my appearance, as I heard ok we understand. I left there with my left eye almost swollen shut n had to drive home myself, thank goodness I did not live far.Not once was I asked or told would need a driver or one to drive me home. Not once was I given options and found out later there are 9 plastic surgeon's there, so what happened to the other 8 ( were they on vacation) I learned those Dr's go for 3 yrs in surgery n a plastic surgeon goes for 12 yrs. I learned my wound was not life threatening n the closing could of waited a day or two for that plastic surgeon, but again was not given that option, I learned that what they did ,I should of been in the OR n under anesthesia period. I learned to ask more questions after this, worse day in my life n been in that much pain was ridiculous. Later I told her ,I wasn't happy about this, she stated well look at this way ,at least we got the cancer my response. Yes at what cost, your not the one to look in a mirror n cry all the time, she had nothing to say then. I was very depressed n pulling myself out slowly ,but again was told ,the feeling in my nose would take 2 months, it is now May n no I still don't ,the sides of my nose yes, the middle NO ! So if you have a wound larger then a pea......see n insist on a ,Plastic Surgeon ,pls !! I will bear these scars the rest of my life n will NEVER,NEVER go back to Moh's !!!

The dermatologist did not use any care or protection for the surrounding area when applying the freeze spray. That is to say she did not isolate the application of the spray by using any kind of shield or limited precise applicator. She sprayed a broad area of healthy skin around the wart which is now left with significant scarring. During the examination she noticed I had a stubbed toe and a blood blister under my toenail. However, she did not recognize it as a blood blister and refused to accept it as such even after my explanation and assurance that I knew what I was talking about. She insisted that I must schedule follow up appointments so she could monitor the dark spot under my toenail. Of course I didn't waste my time and money and it went away just as any blood blister does. Also notable is how rude, arrogant, and dismissive the front desk staff are. I arrived a few minutes earlier than I was told over the phone. Upon arrival a bitter lady started berating me about being punctual and that their time is valuable. I was able to cut her off and interject that I arrived earlier than I was told to. She snapped back "Who told you?!" I answered the person who called to remind me of my arrival time. She then was dismissive about how that is a new employee. No apology for her nasty assumptions and arrogant lecture.

I thank Dr. Diamond for educating me, as an African American, many years ago, about the importance of protecting my skin with a daily SPF. The check-in and check-out ladies are both very personable, as well as Dr Diamond's nurse. All set, even with my appointment for next year, unless anything arises.

I spent years in tanning beds when I was younger and was concerned about UV damage. He noted countless moles on my body that were documented, photographed and watched year over year. After he retired, I saw Elizabeth Anderson who was the same as Dr. Parnes. Thorough, patient and informative as well. She listened to my concerns, remembered personal information every time I came and was extremely polite and professional. I currently see Jamie Restivo after I went in for an acute skin rash that she handled because Dr. Anderson was backed up. We totally clicked and so I've since switched to having her as my main provider. She is also very professional, polite and as sweet as can be. Very informative, she literally explains the why behind everything, addresses all skin concerns (esp the ones I have about aging) and really listens and takes her time with each appointment. She is concise and recommends products and procedures but ultimately goes with whatever you're comfortable with. Could not be happier there. It can be nerve-wracking to get a skin check. You're basically stark naked (with a sheet over your of course) but being scrutinized for every lump, bump and discoloration on your body -- but they've always made me feel very comfortable and address every question or concern I've had. I've had numerous moles and lesions removed over time due to them looking off or concerning. Most were benign but one did come back as basal cell carcinoma, so very glad they caught that! Great practice, beautiful bright and clean office and wonderful providers all around.

The day before, I received not 1 but 2 reminder phone calls; suggesting that many folks must not keep their appt. That should have been a red flag. I arrived 10 minutes early. My appt was at 6:15 pm. AT 6:24 pm, I approached the receptionist to find out what the problem was. She said, oh it shouldn't be long. She checks in with the esthetician. I can hear her inform the esthetician that a 6:15 appt is waiting for her. It was clear that the esthetician had no idea. The reception hangs up and informs me it will just be a few minutes. I don't know how you define few minutes. I, however, do NOT define 10 minutes as a few minutes. So, finally at 6:25 pm, the esthetician is ready. At this point, I'm angry. Someone screwed up, but of course, no one would take responsibility. She did offer an INSINCERE apology. The esthetician asks what I'm looking for and I repeat about the peach fuzz and milia. Imagine my surprise and subsequent ire when she informs that dermabrasion will not address those issues. She suggests that I need dermaplaning. I respond that I'm angry because Dr. Bailey had said that dermablasion is what I needed. You trust the expert so to speak. So, I already know that this isn't going to go well. However, at this point, I figure, I'll give it a shot. Supposedly the appointment should last 30 minutes. She completes mine in 20 minutes. Naturally, I am unpleased. Then she asks me if my face feels really smooth. Frankly, it doesn't. It feels better, but not super smooth. And it certainly did NOT warrant $115. I don't know if Dr. Bailey is incompetent, just didn't care, or thought she could get me to come in for additional facials. Regardless, she sucks. What a total ripoff!! Do NOT WASTE your money on this office or on Dr. Laurel Bailey. They are a total waste of money!!!!!!!!!! 1/25/23

The laser broke on two separate occasions and I was traveling from two hours away and wasn't notified until I arrived for my appointment. Appointments are scheduled a certain number of weeks apart to get new hair growth at the right stage and the broken laser caused me to get off track with that schedule messing with my results. No compensation was offered and I was not able to reschedule promptly for appointments when the issue was with their laser. I would not recommend going to this office. It was a severely disappointing experience and after 12 laser sessions (two packages) and over 2k later, I still have hair where it was supposed to be removed.
