The top part of the deck, made from teak, is still fine, but all the rails (aside from the main supports) and bottom of the stairs were pine, so many of those parts needed replacement due to wood rot. Additionally, the slats that framed around the porch weren't attached properly, so Marcus took them all off and reattached them correctly and securely. He also removed an electrical outlet that wasn't working and capped off the wiring. The baseboards were also replaced with PVC. It was a full-day project, and these guys worked hard. I can't say enough for their professionalism--from the quality work they did (plus explaining everything to me), and beginning and ending the day with cordial words. Such politeness is not a give in these days. The day began with a friendly greeting and ended in the evening with, "Have a nice night," not to mention polite interactions throughout the day. They also cleaned up perfectly, removing all the old wood. Even though they went beyond what we discussed, and Marcus did the extra work (wooden slats that weren't attached properly and a piece of wood behind the stairs that was replaced with PVC which we hadn't talked about initially) Marcus stuck to his original estimate. ***I would recommend these guys without reservation.*** I will also add that their pricing was very fair with an estimate given ahead of time. Pro Woodcare saved our home…read more Due to the COVID pandemic followed by other unforeseen circumstances, the usual exterior care if our nearly 20 yr old log home lapsed. By 2025 it was obvious that just another coat of stain was of no use. The exterior stain needed to be stripped and redone and there were a number of areas which were the most exposed to sun, wind and storms that needed repair or replacement. After investigating several firms specializing in the care we needed, we selected Pro Woodcare of Wisconsin. A senior rep personally inspected the home and explained everything they would do and how the rehabilitation would stabilize and improve the logs. In 20 years stain development can now provide stains that would not just coat the logs but soak into the fibers and release moisture from rain and snow to prevent rot from developing again. Work started in mid-October and with mostly favorable weather finished in mid-November. The crews were specialists in the various jobs and were extremely hard working and efficient. It was sometimes noisy (sound cancelling headphones recommended) and the stain stripping was messy but the crews were very conscientious about cleaning up nightly and protecting windows, doors and landscaping. We had grown accustomed to the hard shell stain that darkened with every new coat and was prone to chipping and peeling. The new finish is stunning. The stripping and sanding brought out the natural grain of the logs and the new stain, now gold rather than brown, gives the logs a soft matte surface that is almost suede-like. With rotted logs replaced and new caulking everywhere we are back to snug and weather tight. We unreservedly recommend Pro Woodcare to anyone with a log home in need of care.

I had to take the shudders off the house for him because he didn't even tho he pressure washed that area without removing them first. When you start a job you prep everything first so when the time comes you can work right in through. He had to go back and clean that area where shutters were and stain it. Just a poor job.

Second project- Bay window ordered, said it would arrive on October 2nd to their warehouse. I had to call the day before install (October 13th) to find out what time they would arrive, and they didn't even receive the bay window yet and need to push the install. No call to tell me it was delayed! Install went well until I noticed the poor quality wood they used for the bay window frame (huge gouges in the wood) and crack in corner of the bay window. Salesperson was totally disengaged and did not follow up as I would expect. Absolutely horrible customer severs, only one person has the answers and they are not easy to get a hold of. Attempted to take the window screen off the garage window for winter I then noticed that the installer had caulked my window screen to the window frame. This was extremely alarming as this is very basic to do and to understand that caulk doesn't belong there. I asked to speak with the owners multiple times and finally called me in December and I had to explain everything to him and he didn't even have my file in front of him. I negotiated and they only would offer a discount if I signed an Non-disclosure agreement, very sketchy practice. This is how they maintain a good review/rating! This has been a extremely disappointing experience, especially as a returning customer who didn't' have best experience the first time. Lesson learned! I will not be reaching out to them for my future big money projects like the siding and roofing of my home and neither should you! They should hire more customer service people and skilled installers and stop spending their company money on the annoying TV adds.
