I don't often write reviews and it has been a long time since I last wrote anything; however, the great service and wonderful side gate that Diamond Custom Iron Doors installed begs for a Yelp review. :-) We've been wanting a new gate for a long time, our old wooden gate having worn out. We wanted something sturdier and more decorative. We first decided to go with Diamond for 3 reasons: their responsiveness, their reviews both here on Yelp as well as testimonials, and their price. Iron gates are more expensive but they are sturdier (won't get battered by Santa Anas like the wooden gate did), and if cared for should last much longer. And did I mention they can customize to your wants? The gate took longer to manufacture and install than we would have liked, but was fairly in line w/ the expectation that was provided to us at the start of the process so I can't complain about that. Just mentioning this to you so you don't think that getting a custom iron gate installed is gonna take 2 weeks. I'll try to add a photo later. Very happy! Thanks to Diamond Custom Iron Doors! read more

DO NOT HIRE GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!!! Pollak is a salesman and they dont stand behind there product. Once they have your money you have to chase them for your gate. Then when you have your gate, Pollak will answer every call and tell you EVERYTHING you want to hear and NEVER follow through. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. THE PICTURES LOOK NICE BUT DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I HAVE. read more

I wish I could give Diamond Custom Iron Doors less than one star. Do not use this company! They do not stand behind their products. I have also reported them to the Better Business Bureau. We contracted them to build two front gates. Both doors were the wrong colors to start. The issues continued from there. They were not installed correctly and only returned to fix the faulty install when I refused to pay them. After a few weeks the gates began to rust due to small pin holes around the weld areas. Contacting the owner and asking for repairs was useless. He promised several times he would send someone out but never did. I wasted several days waiting for the repairs that never happened. The finish on the doors are now beginning to chip. The quality and customer service has been awful. I would not recommend using this company as there are many reputable door and gate companies to choose from! Stay away from Diamond Custom Doors! read more

I would not hire again or recommend. Buyer beware, especially once they have your money. We signed off the completed design for door and stairs and paid the 50% on June 18th. No answer Aug 29 - installer cant come for another week Sept 3 - installer appt confirmed Sept 4th 9am Sept 4 - I messaged at 1020am. "my guy is on your way". Never showed up. I waited 6 hours. No updates. I messaged Pollock at 245p. answer: "I'll talk to him". Rescheduled to Sept 8th early 8ish. Sept 8 - "good morning, my installer all ready" on his way. Reported delays and could not give an ETA but would be 3-4hr+. I could not wait all day again. Rescheduled Sept 9th 9am. Sept 9 - 4hr no show. I had to leave. They came in the afternoon and could not complete their job. Sept 10 - installer finally came in the morning as scheduled and took measurements. ETA 4-5 weeks for completion of work. Sept 24 - I requested an update to schedule the install day. "I'll let you know" Oct 6 - requested update. no answer Oct 14 - requested update today. no answer. I requested another update by Friday 17th to get something on the books and be able to plan. Oct 17th - no answer Oct 21 (today) - requested another update. response 3.5 weeks. They did a great job with our front door! The process was a little long - likely caused by covid - but in the end, we are very pleased! We highly recommend them. The installation took basically one day, the installers were clean, efficient and friendly. The doors were also fully customized and Diamond also added custom butterflies on the doors for us. We highly recommend Pollock and his team and will be referring them to our friends and family! Thank you read more

Diamond Custom Iron Doors - Custom Iron Front Door - Door Sales/Installation Near Me - San Diego, California

I bought a double front door and a matching back door from Diamond after coming across their booth at a home & garden show. The design and ordering process were painless, and the ability to customize the design to suit your taste and preference, combined with the range of colors is truly impressive. The entire process from start to finish took a little longer than I'd like, but after all, these are completely custom doors that are made from scratch -- not something pulled off an assembly line and modified to fit a design. There were a couple hiccups following installation, and it did take a bit of time to get them resolved, but Pollock has an awesome team of installers who are truly artistic and took care of every last detail. The main reason for the delays in getting back to take care of the issues were due to the distance they travel, so I needed to wait until they had an installation relatively close by. I was a little disappointed in the time it took at first, but it was worth the wait in the end. After all was said and done, I had another contractor doing some work at my house that loved the doors, and I sent him to Pollock to order his own doors. read more

Awesome door. Fully metal and the windows open with screens. Met Pollack at a home show and got an estimate at the house. Very easy process from beginning to install. Yes, the door is expensive but, worth every penny. Design is up to you! Install was the cleanest job I've ever seen and very efficient, only took a couple hours. I highly recommend this company, the door is great and my wife feels really safe when I'm not here. read more

We ran into Diamond Custom Iron Doors at a Home Show. The sale was easy and yes, they are bit expensive but worth every penny! Our door is beautiful and constructed of the very good materials, it's all steel and extremely strong. The installers were outstanding! They removed and installed my new door in less than a half day. Hardly any mess at all and was a seamless install. Design is awesome, you pick the design, they work with you, design what you want and they make it!!!! Sorry just two stars. Found these guys at Del Mar Fair Home Show and was interested. They had nice iron/steel doors and they followed up with a call for apptmt.. Pollack was the gentleman that visited and took measurements. Followed up with a quote. We also asked him to give us a quote at a rental property. Came in at over $10k and we started to negotiate the price. Did some research and comparison and offered, $4,500 for one and $3,000 for the other, including install, tax and delivery. Didn't except my offer and he walked away. What he didn't understand was, "We didn't need the doors, it was a nice to have". So, we decided to wait. We are going to check out a iron door place off Mira Mesa Blvd. across marine base. read more

Amazing door and Pollock the owner was absolutely amazing he personally oversaw the install and glad I decided to go with Design Windows and Doors for my project and that's how I was able to have this beautiful door that Pollock made just as I wanted and some! So happy to have the project go smooth and fastthank you read more

Pollack is very talented and did everything he said he would do. The finished product is gorgeous. Installers had to return one time due to a securing pin that was welded on wrong side, but it came back just perfect after an extra week. We get lots of compliments. Prices are also a bit lower than the big companies since gates are built by craftsmen in Mexico. Don't hesitate. read more

Custom Quality Craftsmanship! Couldn't be more pleased with the custom quality craftsmanship of the two entryway doors for my home. After a long disappointing search for custom made wrought iron door locations in Los Angeles I found that most companies import prefabricated doors from China. So glad that I came across Diamond Custom Iron Doors at a home improvement fair. Their professionalism, attention to detail and follow up are impressive. They came out, took measurements and created custom designed doors, true to our design. The installation was done with care for customer satisfaction. Pollock provides timely updates on the status of your order, and to ensure you are completely satisfied with the quality of their products once your installation is complete. We received a beautiful, custom made door for our home. We ordered a double wide all metal door in just the right design, size and color from Diamond Iron Doors. Pollock was a fantastic person to work with, who coordinated our order, helped us design our door and gave us all that we wished for in the door. It took a bit longer than we expected, but after all it is a custom door that we designed. There was a hiccup in the installation of the door, but Pollock made it right and corrected any issues we had!! We would recommend Diamond Iron Doors for any custom door you wish to order. They delivered a beautiful door that will last for decades!! read more

Exceeded our expectations. Their work is incredible. Our windows and doors look incredible!

Great service and high quality work! We couldn't be happier!

I was so thrilled and excited when the doors arrived........they were gorgeous, built beautifully.......strong, secure, perfect!!!!.........but then one of the doors started to get condensation between the panes of glass on the left door. I have called, and called, and talked to Pollack but here I am, 6 months later still waiting to get it repaired, or replaced........These doors were thousands of dollars, and it sweats...........I hope they read this and call me.........I live in Redlands.I referred them to a client here, and still have not heard back. read more

Diamond Custom Iron Doors did an amazing job on our front double door! Very east process from designing to having it installed. They even painted our garage doors to match the color of the front door. Honestly, it's my favorite part of my home and we get many many compliments. Great customer service as well! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Giving them one star is generous. The process started out fine but once the paint on the gate started flaking/cracking (before 1 year) it was a nightmare and I can't stress that enough. Pollock would give me a date for when the gate would be done but it never arrived when he said it would. Ive had to call him out several times over the course of 4 years now and each time Pollock would give me excuses as to why they hadn't picked up the gate or why it hadn't been returned yet. Each time they've had to take my gate to Tijuana to "fix" it which caused further delays because of issues at the border. There is no sense of urgency with Pollock. They don't even provide cover for the open area when they take the gate. Ive had to wait months each time before my gate is returned. I DO NOT recommend Diamond Custom Iron Doors or Baja Doors which is the other company Pollock operates. Horrible service and product. read more

Beautiful custom iron doors, stair railings, etc. Great customer service.

my wife and i had been discussing for several years, to have installation of custom double iron front doors in our home. recently she was looking at an ad in a magazine from (diamond iron custom doors). the doors were beautiful and exactly what we had been talking about. we called the company and spoke to pollock, he indicated that he could be at our residence in fountain valley, california, in a couple of days. he was very patient with us, as my wife and i were talking about several options. we ultimately decided on iron double doors, with an inside additional iron doors that have a security glass and screen, to bring in fresh air without the flys, etc. overall be are extremely pleased with the end results. friends and neighbors are considering having their doors replaced like we did. there are many other companies that have similar products, but why take a chance on inferior design and workmanship. remember every door is crafted custom to your specifications, yes, it may take 2 months to receive your one of a kind design iron door, but it is (worth it). sincerely, bob read more
