We had a retaining wall failure and, during excavation, discovered a pipe that we weren't even sure who it belonged to. Oswaldo went above and beyond by helping us navigate communication with the county and making sure we understood what was going on. He took the time to explain every step of the process clearly, which gave us a lot of confidence. We received six different quotes, but ultimately chose Minez Concrete because we felt the most comfortable with Oswaldo -- and that absolutely proved to be the right decision. Shafiaq Khouli and his SK Concrete team built on our back yard a 14' x 14' SPA niche including a…read more12' x 12' x 5" reinforced concrete pad, foundation, drainage, three sides surrounding half high retaining walls and embedded SPA electrical wiring conduit. They also installed footing drain (French drain) on the back retaining wall, backfilled with the usual gravel, crushed stone and covered the outside of the walls with installed paneled stone veneer. They also did the initial former structure demolition, debris hauling and the requested earth moving and other necessary small retaining walls reassembly. It sounds like an easy simple job but, believe me, it got complicated quite soon. Along the construction way, I was able to interact with the crew and bounce ideas and corrections which were followed to my customer satisfaction, resulting in more than a very acceptable final product. When the inevitable, beyond his control, the one odd crew helper misbehavior occurred on the job, this contractor immediately corrected it, got on top of the problem and smoothly and quickly we had no more of an issue here. He also facilitated for me the customer to bring my own tile / stone wall-caps products and installer guys, which ended doing a beautiful job we're very proud of. Pricing fair, not inexpensive. Job done acceptable, with your own (the customer) continuous supervision and being able to stop working crew's irreparable mistakes before they happened, however, the final product came out well built and functional as we imagined and expected, we are grateful for that. We had some specialty items, septic lid covers, that hold pavers which made the install more challenging. I was a bit worried about this party of the install but they did a good job. They didn't rush through the work, but they did finish the job quickly. Artemio and the other worker (I didn't get his name) knew their stuff and made it look easy (But I know it's a lot of work!). They worked quickly and worked hard but also very professionally and didn't take short cuts. They took the time to make the lids look right and function properly. It's important so I don't have to rip out pavers to find the lids next time. Heck they even made the underside of the lids look clean. Eco also didn't try to upsell on more than I wanted to do and offered a reasonable price right up front.
