I am at a complete loss for words. Less than 24 hours after proposing to my now fiancée, the diamond I had saved up for so long fell out of the ring! I cannot believe Vrej did not ensure it was more secure given the size of the diamond and the amount I paid. We have spent the last two days searching everywhere for the lost diamond but haven't been able to find it. My fiancée is completely distraught and has not stopped crying. This experience has been emotionally devastating for both of us. Vrej has turned our engagement into an absolute nightmare. We had family flying in from out of town to celebrate the engagement this weekend, and instead, they arrived to find my fiancée crying non-stop, her joy replaced by heartbreak. We quickly returned today to speak with Vrej in hopes that he could help us figure out why this had happened. To add salt to the wound of our situation, instead of being met with the helpful person we thought we knew, we were met with threats and accused of being thieves by Vrej himself. I couldn't understand how one of the most exciting and significant purchases of my life could turn into such a negative experience. He raised his voice at us, making a scene and insisting we had "done something" to the ring. I was completely taken aback. I've never been yelled at, let alone threatened and called names like this anywhere. There was zero professionalism now that he had our money. We were left with his poor work that resulted in losing the main diamond I paid so much for. Not so much as an apology or even a hint of trying to resolve my concern. The fact that he so quickly went on the defensive in such a loud and public way when we trusted him to help us genuinely speaks volumes about the kind of business this man runs. This accusation was a crushing blow, adding insult to injury. I cannot believe a jeweler with supposed 40+ years of experience would treat customers this way. I had saved so long to buy this ring, only for Vrej to carelessly sell me a poorly designed piece that lost its precious stone. The disappointment is overwhelming. After speaking with multiple reputable diamond setters, they all commented on what a poor job he did and how unprofessional his work was. Their consensus only confirmed our worst fears about the craftsmanship. Vrej has not only ruined our engagement but has also caused us immense emotional distress. The joy of this significant life event has been completely overshadowed by the negligence and disrespect we experienced. Our engagement, a moment that should have been filled with happiness and love, has been marred by tears and frustration. I urge anyone considering Vrej's services to think twice. Trusting him with your precious moments could lead to heartache and regret that no one should have to endure for such a special occasion as an engagement. But please, don't just take my word for it - see the pictures I've posted as proof. I would hate for such a horrible thing to happen to anyone else. He should be ashamed of the way he treats customers once he has made his sale. I have nothing to gain from posting this except to warn others. He is refusing to fix the setting or do anything for me and I've come to accept this unfathomable loss but that doesnt mean someone else should. read more

Can I just say that this was the most amazing diamond ring purchasing experience of my life. I picked out a stone I liked, showed them a few pictures of what I was looking for and within three days I had my beautiful custom-made engagement ring! This is totally unheard of. That and Vrej was a pleasure to work with throughout the design process. He even hand delivered the ring to me so I wouldn't have to drive back to downtown LA to pick it up. If you're in the market for an engagement ring or anything else jewelry related this is your place. I cannot say enough good things about Vrej and Diamond Code. read more

Vrej was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout this process. He made sure we didn't feel rushed and made us feel comfortable while buying my girlfriend's engagement ring. Would recommend 10/10. Thanks Vrej! read more

Vrej is a dishonest jeweler. We bought a ring back in June and he failed to give me the paperwork. We were visiting LA and we were leaving when we bought the ring. He couldn't find the paperwork for the diamond and he said he would overnight ship it to me. I have contacted him repeatedly asking if he shipped and asked for tracking number. It is now July and I still dont have the paperwork and he ignores my calls. Do not deal with him and his constant lies and dishonesty. read more

It was our 30th anniversary and I wanted something very unique for my wife-one that was elegant and gave a hint of vintage. Going to Diamond Code LA was the best decision I could have made. I went in with pictures of rings, a budget and a deadline. Vrej listened to and understood the key design elements, discussed pricing and our options, and gave me great, honest advice. He provided a custom design within a few days, and gave us the most beautiful ring my wife could have imagined. Thank you. For the honesty, artistry and excellent workmanship. I will never go anywhere else. read more

Had to come here and leave a review on this spot. After being overwhelmed walking around so many jewelers in this area we stumbled upon Diamond Code. The first thing the stuck out to me was the clutter free nice layout that made it easier to look at the pieces they had to offer. The diamonds were the best ones we saw in our search. Vrej was also very helpful and really did a good job laying out our options and the diamonds he had were stunning. He has a no BS approach which is refreshing to see in this industry. I recommend you come here and check on the diamond selection, you will not be disappointed. Great experience. read more

We were shopping around for a center stone for my wife's ring, stopped at many shops and came across Diamond Code. Vrej greeted us, he answered all our questions without any hesitation, I started looking at the variety of diamonds. After looking and talking to Vrej for about an hour we decided on a 3.70 center stone, he gave us pricing and we knew that this would be the one, since my wife is very indecisive she wanted to think about it and keep doing her research. We told him we would think about it and come back, he was understanding and polite and told us that we should look around and decide for the perfect stone. Even though we weren't purchasing from him at this time he still kept answering our questions and never pressured us into buying anything from him. We left and kept researching on line to make sure that this was the right center stone. 4 days later we decided that this was the one, called him gave him a deposit to hold the Diamond, a few days later we came back to have the stone set, he was very helpful and gave us his opinion on how to have the stone set to make sure the ring would be to our satisfaction. There were 7 small diamonds that were removed from my wife's ring and Vrej suggested that we have the diamonds set on a band, I am beyond thrilled on how the ring and band came out. We are VERY HAPPY that we found Vrej, he has outstanding customer service, he's doesn't push you to buy and will help an answer all the questions that you have. His prices were better than the other jewelry stores we visited we definitely got a good deal and the ring looks beautiful. I will recommend to all my family and friends. My wife is very happy! We are customers for life. Thank you Vrej! read more

My husband and I purchased my engagement ring and wedding band from Vrej at Diamond Code and the personalized service was outstanding. Quality of stones are magnificent. In love with my set. I came back for a tennis bracelet as a gift from my husband for my 50th birthday. I wasn't sure what I wanted, as this was my first tennis bracelet. Vrej was patient and have showed me plenty of options, settings, metals, etc. I was indecisive and came back a few times before I decided on a 2 carat rose gold Diamond bracelet. So gorgeous and best quality diamonds for a great price. Highly recommend Vrej! read more

Let me save you time and energy by saying you should STOP your search for a Diamond engagement or bridal set here! I have already done plenty of research with online retailers, larger corporate stores and by visiting a handful of other shops around the jewelry district that came with hundreds of more 5 star reviews. I would honestly question those other shops and their "reviews" because none of those places gave me bottom line straight up business sense that I felt I received with Diamond Code LA. The owner of this fine establishment, Vrej, far surpasses customer service and really juggles multiple clients at once with great ease. Ok so here's my experience back story: I decided to upgrade my Diamond wedding set for our 10 year anniversary. I did all this research and finally pulled the trigger with James Allen online because I thought I was purchasing from a well reviewed trusted company. Wrong! I was told what I had purchased was no longer available so I had to purchase another shape diamond to continue even though they charged my account! Scam alert if you ask me. I had already shopped Vrej and the only reason I didn't initially buy from him was that it was my first set of in person visits in the district and I wasn't sure what I wanted, at the end of a long holiday weekend, a click online was so much easier. Well a week and a half long headache of back and forth problems with James Allen online was remedied by me emailing Vrej to ask him if he could match for me from his inventory what I purchased from James Allen for a better price since they no longer had any Radiant Cut diamonds in my carat size. He emailed me back immediately and said YES! A full breakdown of the setting and band I wanted along with cut clarity and color I was looking for in a Radiant diamond!!! I WAS SOOOO THRILLED! I couldn't get back to his shop fast enough! Oh and price was of course quite competitive to James Allen. Look at my gorgeous ring, Diamond and band. We paid well below what it's worth at retail! I squealed with joy as my husband placed it on my finger and cannot stop staring at it. Thanks again Vrej!! read more

We were referred to Vrej by family and friends who'd been very happy with their experience. I took my antique engagement ring to him after visiting a few jewelers who were price gauging me and telling me they couldn't do anything with it. We were quoted upwards of 50-100k! Vrej was warm and welcoming, we even had our young daughter in tow for the day and he was so kind and patient with her as well. We first decided on the center stone, which took me quite awhile as he had so many beautiful diamonds to choose from. Once we decided on the stone we looked at how to rebuild and reshape the entire ring. It was so important to me to keep the original band and to also not lose the original vintage cluster top and instead have that part made into a necklace. The whole process took about 4 hours. He was thoughtful, very knowledgeable and not once did we feel pressured or oversold on anything out of our budget. We spoke a few days before the appt and went over a few things, when we showed up, he had already picked out some diamonds that were well within our budget. I cannot stress enough how seamless the whole process was and how appreciative we were to work with someone honest, patient and kind. Thank you Vrej for creating my dream wedding ring and preserving what was so important to me! We will definitely be back in the future for other special occasions. read more

Diamond Code L.A - Custom diamond ring - Jewelry Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I went to 4 places before I ran into Diamind Code LA. I stopped because they had a large selection and V was not being pushy. He was honest and gave me options (size, color, price, etc.). I purchased an engagement ring that was custom made to the T. After that, I decided to go back and get the wedding band along with my wedding ring. Been dealing with V for a short period of time, 7 months, but he always is inviting and will get me the beat price; even when I try to haggle him for a lower price . I plan in getting all my future jewelry from him. Payment plans are a plus. No rush. Thank you V. read more

Vrej is an extremely honest guy and has no bad intentions! He lead us to exactly what we wanted and never was pushy or tried to upsell me, if anything it was quite the opposite! He educated us about the diamond industry as well which I really appreciated. Absolutely check Diamond Code out. His prices are by far best around - even online retailers cannot compete with Vrej Thank you Vrej for helping me get my fiancé her dream ring! read more

Learned about Diamond Code LA through social media and finally made the trip to check out in person. I have to say I've been to several jewelers and most of them just want to sell you the most expensive piece of jewelry they have but that's not the case here. Vrej made finding our engagement ring seamless! We found what we were looking for and we could not be any more happy with our purchase, will definitely be back to shop with vrej! read more

1000% would recommend. Vrej was absolutely the best. He helped me find the right diamond and the perfect setting to with it. My now fiancé absolutely loves our engagement ring. Thank you Vrej! read more

This place is terrible. The jewelry is over-priced and difficult to work with. We paid $5,700 for a diamond bracelet, and then had it appraised at another booth next door at $2,500. In the picture, the larger diamond bracelet should cost $5,500 (also the diamonds are the same quality as V&A Jewelry, just much bigger). I will never shop here again. Such a ripoff and obviously liars when they sold us this bracket, and told us it was wholesale. We paid Cash with check too. read more

Vrej is incredibly helpful, straightforward, focused on fostering long term client relationships. He has a rare professional integrity and is absolutely NOT interested in pushing a quick sale you will regret. I came here for an engagement diamond and the selection did not disappoint. Vrej provided me the opportunity to view his selection in detail and experience the diamonds in natural lighting. Overall, a fantastic experience. He even helped me select a ring and get the stone set from other vendors. If he doesn't have what you need, he will help you find it and get it for you. Diamond Code is focused on providing high quality customer service and honest input at fair-prices. Very impressed with Vrej's investment of time and respect in clients. I usually fly from out of state to LA jewelry district for my jewelry purchases. I would say at least once or twice a year. Most people are friendly and have good customer service and I have no complaints nor anything out of the ordinary customer service that I can rave about. However, this last visit with Diamond Code L.A is well deserving of my 5 stars. I am pretty picky and not easy to please but Vrej was so patient and never pushy. It took me 3 days to pick out my setting and my center stone. I did my research and found that his prices are fair and comparable to the online websites. But he gives you the best customer service and educational information so that you can make the best decision for your money. After visiting him 3 days in a row to find the perfect ring, My daughter's and I feel like we have a made a new friend who we can trust for our jewelry purchases. We will never hesitate to recommend him to our friends and families. Thank you Vrej and see you soon! read more
